Great Mister; Troublesome Poly-tube
This mister system was installed on a 12″ wide x 12″ deep x 18″ high terrarium. One spray nozzle was installed on each side and the controller was mounted outside.PROS:- The controller has a built-in timer that allows selection from a preset of misting frequencies (once every hour, every other hour, four hours, etcetera all the way to once per day). Duration is also a set of preset times each misting cycle (e.g., 2 seconds, 4 seconds, 120 seconds, etc.). A manual mode will mist for five minutes.- The pump is fairly quiet.- Setup of the major components (all but the poly-tube) was easy and the instructions were clear on how to program the timer.- The ability to maneuver the mist heads in many directions, and without leaks from the joints, is really nice.CONS:- The poly-tube remained extremely curled and resisted straightening for the water supply bottle and terrarium mounting. Using a warm hot air gun was tried but it only helped slightly. Because of the extreme curling, the poly-tube would not go to the bottom of a 1-gallon jug. Placing it through the handle, it just curled up as it exited (see image). The jug issue was resolved by using a piece of 1/4″ irrigation riser with a barb fitting (see image). An adequate solution for securing the tubing in the terrarium has not yet been found (as can be seen in the videos and images). Typical 1/4″ irrigation tubing has a slightly larger outside diameter than the supplied poly-tubing and did not easily fit the quick connectors at the ends of the misters. Converting from the poly-tube to typical 1/4″ irrigation tubing using straight barbed connectors and then using 90-degree barbed connectors at the corners, may be an option.NOTES:- There was just enough poly-tube to put a mister on each side of the 12×12 tank. You need to go in one mister from the sprayer, out the other side, to the other mister, and have tubing to feed the mister from a tank of your choosing. An 18″ wide x18″ deep tank should get by with the supplied poly-tubing as well. Anything larger may need to be creative. For example, the poly-tube internal diameter fits 1/4″ irrigation barbed fittings. Thus, you could “T” off from the mister output versus do an in-line layout.- While the mister has a way to retain settings when power is lost, as there is not “constant on” mode, this mister is not adequate to use with a humidity sensor and switch that would turn the mister on and off.- The suction cups worked well to hold the two misters in place. However, most suction cups tend to work well at first and then fail (especially if the UV lighting hits them regularly. A bit of silicon glue will likely be needed.

This reptile mister works awesome! It’s super easy to put together. The instructions are clear and sufficient. You can have it Turn on as often as one hour and for as long as 120 seconds or have it turn on up to every 24 hours for as short as I think it was 2 seconds. Plus of course every combination in between. It creates a very fine mist and I tried to take a video to show what it looks like. You can cut the tubing to have a short piece connecting the two Mister heads that are provided. I might only end up using one given the size of the enclosure it’ll be used in for my African Pixie frog. My only criticism of this product so far is that the tubing comes all wrapped up and it’s very spiraly and hard to get straight. You can boil the tubing for a little while in hot water and then stretch it so it’s straighter. I haven’t done it yet but I’ve used it on other tubing with the same problem. It’s a problem because it’s hard to get the tubing to fall to the bottom of whatever pail of water you use. I love that you can use whatever size tub of water you want whether that’s just a 1 gallon jug or 5 gallon bucket. Make sure you use distilled water because otherwise all the minerals and crap in tap water is going to clog up the mister heads and also stain your enclosure walls with water spots. If that happens you could run hot water with citric acid in it to clean it up (but make sure to flush out with just clean water afterwards) And use a razor blade on a glass enclosure to get the mineral water spots off. Overall pretty good value for money on this thing. I like that it’s fairly simple and the programming isn’t complicated at all. I had bought a Mister King a long time ago and still felt too intimidated to use it. This thing is much easier.

Helps Snake Tank Humidity
We have a snake that requires 60-70% humidity at all times. It can be a struggle to keep up, especially in our dry environment. This mister was easy to set up. The instructions were clear. The timed misting helps keeps the humidity consistent without making the substrate wet, which leads to scale rot. The price is lower by almost $20 than similar items Iâve looked at in the past. Itâs seems to be high quality. The snake is happy and so are we.

Provides a lot of mist
This provides a great deal of mist to help raise the humidity of our reptile tank. It looks a little spooky, but does a great job. The machine is quiet, but not silent. It doesn’t take up a lot of room, and is easy to refill and clean out as needed. The auto function is a time saver, and prevents us forgetting to turn it on!
