Perfect Hide for Smaller Reptiles.
This hide is actually bigger then I expected. It is made with good quality and sturdy materials. The magnets are surprising very strong. The hide itself is fairly light and looks like a real log. It functions perfectly and provides a safe space for a variety of reptiles. Having the magnets allow for a fixed elevated hide, which creates more ground surface space.

Decent hide
This is a really nice little hide, and I love how natural it looks in the enclosure. The openings are a good sizeâbig enough that if your lizard is inside, you can still get them out pretty easily without too much trouble. It is magnetic, but Iâve been keeping it on the floor for now. The magnets donât seem strong enough to hold much weight, and I didnât want to risk it falling and hurting my lizard as they get bigger.The hide itself feels well made, but since itâs a resin-like material, Iâm a bit cautious about using it in hotter tanksâlike my leopard gecko setup. Iâve had resin pieces warp or even start to melt in high heat before, so I donât want to take that chance. Right now, Iâm using it in my gargoyle geckoâs tank where it just needs to stay at room temp, and itâs been great for that.If youâre using it in a cooler enclosure or just want to keep it on the floor, itâs a great option. Super cute, fits in well with natural setups, and Iâm honestly thinking about getting another one. This is probably medium quality.

Nice decoration, strong magnets.
I got this for my leopard gecko, Grapes. Its a little small for an adult leo, but Graprs still fits inside.The magnets are very strong, I actually pinched my fingers by mistake. Use caution when attaching the log to glass enclosures. The magnets need to be strong, but be mindful of the magnets and glass, gentleness is key. And obviously this is not a toy.My pet isn’t much into.climbing, but I mounted the log higher, and it still held firm when I applied pressure. The log would be great for aboreal creatures especially.If you keep the magnets attached and place the log on its side, it doesn’t roll which is great for creatures who prefer to stay grounded.

Perfect frog hide!
I use this in my terrarium for my 3 tree frogs. They love it! It looks realistic, so its a nice touch. The magnets are very strong, it can be put anywhere on the tank (mine is glass, so I have to be very careful when placing it).It definitely provides a nice place for them and is nicely made.

Great quality
Product arrived well packaged. After opening it I checked for any sharp edges and found none, as you don’t want your pet getting injured.Being synthetic material there are no strong chemical smells you also would not want in an enclosure.The build quality is very good, nice solid little home. The magnets are incredibly strong, I have zero fear of this falling or sliding.The size seems just right for any smaller lizard or gecko.

Beautiful and realistic, but jagged areas
While this faux log gecko hide looks amazing, and the quality of the paint job and the detail on the log to make it look realistic is great- there were a fair amount of areas inside of the log that had sharp edges that made me worry about my gecko potentially hurting itself while making its way though their log. My solution was to apply hot glue all along the areas that were jagged (particularly around the inside of of both the log ends and the center hole (see photo). There were a few little jagged bumps along the inside of the log itself too, I put hot glue on those spots too. I thought about sanding the areas down with a Dremel, but I wasnât sure about the exposed surface after sanding down, so hot glue it was. Anyway, this would have been a 5 star product if it wasnât so sharp and rough. Also, I wish the magnets on the back of the log were sealed to prevent any potential rust formation. For the price, I expected a little more in terms of quality. I wouldnât recommend it if you have a soft skinned reptile.

Fantastic hide for crested geckos
