Great supplement
Excellent supplement. Brought down puffy legs, horse is very sound, doesn’t need as much warm up. Improved digestion. Horse loves the taste.

Not for picky eaters
I normally use the same product in powder form. Since these are advertised as being suitable to feed as treats, I assumed they were more palatable than the powder. My horse is a picky eater. He refused to eat these, even when mixed in with his mash. The tablets are huge and recommended dosing is 8 tablets, so it is no small task to convince a horse to eat that many. Iâll switch back to buying the powder. Disappointed in this product, especially given the higher price.

Tablets into mash
I found these tablets the easiest to give to my horse by making a mash with his food. Once I did this, the tablets were not as noticeable. I like that they tackle joint issues as well as aid in digestion. I am pleased overall and would say it just takes some trial and error with the administration of the chunky tablets. The quality is excellent as are the ingredients.

Love Cosequin’s formula, but this delivery format just isn’t great
I’ve been feeding Cosequin for years both to my horses and cats, and I do love the formula. However, the tablet formulation is just not a good delivery system. For anyone who doesn’t soak their grain, you have to mortar and pestle grind these into a powder to even attempt to get them into the horse, or you have to soak them and syringe them directly into their mouth. What horse is going to eat giant tablets willingly? I don’t get why they wouldn’t just pellet this formulation. The tablets seem so unnecessary. A+ for formulation, C for the “creative” presentation.

First time trying supplements in this form
I’ve had horses for close to 30 years now, and have used Cosequin products off and on over that time, but this is the first time I’ve encountered a supplement in big tablets like this. The tablets are about 1″ in diameter, and about 3/8″ thick, so they’re pretty substantial. I’m not sure what the logic behind it is – perhaps so that you can hand-feed them and ensure that your horse gets the entire dose?Certainly, Cosequin products are well-respected, so I had no qualms about trying these. My picky Arab willingly took one from my hand, chewed it and swallowed it, but didn’t ask for more, so they weren’t a hit with him, but my “I’ll eat pretty much anything you give me” Quarter Horse snarfed them right down. When I put the recommended dose of 8 of them in his feed bucket, though, I did find a couple on the ground, so it’s unclear at this point how willing he’s going to be to eat them on his own. I might have to break them up and mix them in with his feed if he continues to leave some on the ground. (But see my comment above about the size of the tablets; I’m not exactly sure how to go about breaking them. I might need to soak them.) The local squirrels certainly don’t need joint supplements.

Reputable brand
I really like Cosequin joint supplements as they’ve been recommended by my vet, so I was excited to try these in tablet form. They are easier for me to give than measuring out powder each time. They are great as long as your horse likes them. They are molasses and carrot flavor according to the manufacturer. I don’t have a picky horse and had no problems feeding these. I like knowing that it is good for not only their joints but also their digestive system.

Good quality not great for picky eaters
Out of 3 horses only one will eat these tabs unfortunately. I was excited to try the tabs over the powder for ease of use but they pick them out of the grain. Great product over all for intended join help. Just will have to go back to power form. Also was disappointed in how many of these tabs you need to give. 8 tabs for a 1200lb horse is a lot and you end up going through the tub fast.
