Will the LightHound work in cold weather, snow, rain?
The LightHound is safe to use in rain or snow (some customers have used it to -50 degrees!). It just should not be submerged, so no swimming. The light portion can be easily removed on the spot to allow your dog to swim!
Can the LightHound handle my strong, high-energy dog?
The fabric is exceptionally strong CORDURA nylon with high-strength, reinforced stitching so it’s made for rolling and playing. The harness is pull tested for 300 lbs of force!
How do I clean the LightHound?
The light component is easily removable so that the harness material can be machine washed! Air dry for best results.

Super bright Light-up Harness
This harness is great! Itâs very bright and makes it super easy to see my dogs while walking, or going off leash at night. Both my dogs are 65lbs and size large fit well! Super easy to adjust the size to put on and swap it between dogs! My dogs didnât seem to mind wearing it, and it feels comfortable to the touch! I love all the different color options for the lights! The charge also lasts a long time! Multiple night’s worth of walks. Itâs kinda pricey, but I love it so much I will definitely buy it again for my other dog!

This light-up vest is worth every cent! Iâve bought other products in the past that are similar to this, but they broke easily and/or were not rechargeable. The quality of this vest (size small) can be felt from the moment that you touch it, and one can rest assured that it is as durable as it feels. I love that it isnât just reflective, but it also lights up and is rechargeable via USB-C cord (provided). The lights on this vest are incredibly powerful so, whether you choose to use this during the middle of the day or the middle of the night, you will be able to see the light feature when it is activated. From the stitching, to the snap closures, to the D-ring and light component, the overall structure of the vest is very solid, The material portion supports the light structure embedded within it quite well, and there is no concern as to it detaching when my doggo pulls while walking. The company did such a great job offering so many individual light colors to choose from as well as offering two different light cycles to choose from, which range from a selection of stable individual colors, to both a fast and a slow setting that utilize all of the colors, in case you arenât satisfied with a single selection.Without fail, anytime my boyfriend and I are walking our Doggo, a passerby or two always stops us to compliment the light up features and ask where we got it from. Please note that we did choose to pair it with a light-up leash from a different company, only because we didnât see an option for one that would pair with this vest so compatibility. Had this company offered a leash that would pair with this vest, you bet your sweet buns that we wouldâve bought that too!!! And if they ever do come out with one, â¨fingers crossedâ¨, we will be buying it on its release date.

The best harness for being visible to motorists at night
This harness is great for night walking. It has different lighting modes to chose from. 1. You choose which color you want and it stays illuminated in that color. 2. It cycles through all through all the colors slowly & seamlessly changing from pink to orange to blue, green, red etc. 3. A fast blink or 4. A slower blink.Itâs very easy to choose your preferred setting by simply pressing a button on the back of the harness. A long push turns the lighting feature on & off.Whichever lighting feature you choose is saved until you change it.I use the slow cycling of colors. Any flashing bothers my eyes.The slow glow of the colors changing makes us very visible to motorists. This is the feedback Iâve gotten from people who have stopped to ask about the harness.It charges quickly & stays charged for a long time. Much longer than I expected. It comes with a C type charging cord.I canât speak to the durability of the harness itself. I use it strictly for the lighting options. I have a 130lb Rottweiler who walks beautifully on leash however if he decided to pull while wearing this Iâm not confident that this would securely hold him. I am used to much sturdier materials. The clasp under the belly is a simple plastic clip. My regular harness for him has 4 heavy metal clips. I would not rely on this harness alone for walking. However itâs the absolute best for being visible at night.If you have a smaller or medium size dog Iâm confident the harness is sufficient & durable for walking. I tend to need specialized reinforced products for working dogs.For the price I expect most people would want it to function as a walking harness in addition to the lights.However, for me, I can justify the price for the quality of the lights & for the fact that this can be used in any weather.I have used this harness in the pouring rain and wet snow. It performed flawlessly & I have had no issues after it was dried & stored for a few months.Itâs easily adjustable & Iâm confident if you buy the correct size, it will fit the girth of any dog.I get stopped by drivers all the time who complement the harness.They tell me we are easy to see on the dark roads & ask where I got the harness.I highly recommend this harness over cheaper options which are not as bright, wonât work in wet & donât have as many lighting options.

THE best illuminated collar by far….
…. and we tried several. Most of the collars aren’t bad. ALL are pretty good at night, but this one is good for the day AND the night. Basically, if you have a dog that bolts from the yard, or you at night or during the day, then this harness is for you. The harness is reflective so you can see the dog wherever they run.and especially great in the woods. We have two Weimaraners and for some reason they bolt from my husband a LOT and now we can see them and retrieve them much easier. And, I feel better knowing that a car can see them much more easily than with those thinner collars. This collar is BRIGHT at night. I’m getting another. We have those skinner ones and although they are neat to see at night they pale in comparison to this one. The collars with one LED every inch is the worst, in my opinioin and the ones that have a bar of LEDs all around are much beter, yet this one circles them front and back and you can see it much better! Great stuff. Oh, and it goes on VERY easily. The collar part slid right over her head and all I had to do was adjust and clip the back portion and out she goes. Thank you to the people who put some thought into developing this.

Almost Perfect.
This harness is bright and very light weight. The variety on colors and flashing modes will satisfy almost any body. I get a lot of comments from other when my dog wears it a night time. The battery life us great for the amount time i need ro charge it. The only draw back is the screw that holds the light to the harness. My dog is very high energy and runns every where loves to roll . Just recently the screw fell off and now i need to make some attachment to fix it

Ich bin begeistert.Habe das Geschirr einmal in S für meine kleine Malteserdame geholt und einmal in XL für unsere etwas moppelige Labrador Dame. Beide Geschirre passen gut. Dem Labi hätte auch L gereicht, aber es lässt sich gerade noch so eng genug stellen. Im Nachhinein gar nicht schlecht das gröÃere gewählt zu haben, denn so gehen die illuminierten Streifen bis über die Brust.Die Helligkeit ist Wahnsinn und von wirklich weitem schon gut zu sehen. Auch für Langhaar Hunde geeignet.Auch ohne die Illuminierung einzuschalten reflektiert das Geschirr bereits sehr stark.Der Hund ist im Gegensatz zum Halsband nun wirklich von allen Seiten gut zu sehen.Ich würde es nochmals kaufen.

J’ai acheté 2 de ces harnais lumineux (taille M) pour mes 2 lévriers whippet, ceci afin de mieux les repérer dans l’obscurité quand je les détache, ce qui est le cas pratiquement tout le temps car ils sont très obéissants. C’est surtout aussi pour que les cyclistes qui roulent sur les trottoirs, parfois même imprudemment sans éclairage et sans sonnette. Ainsi, ils voient mes trésors et ralentissent. Je suis comblé par ce produit beaucoup plus efficace qu’un simple collier lumineux et de bien meilleure qualité. De plus, pas de piles coûteuses mais rechargeables sur usb. Le bonheur absolu. Tous les propriétaires de chiens que je croise me demandent où trouver cet article. Malheureusement le prix est conséquent, ce qui freine certains et de toute façon, le stock a vite été épuisé. Espérons qu’il y aura un réapprovisionnement car il y a de la demande quand même malgré le prix. Je recommande donc le produit sans hésitation.EDIT le 08/10/2025 : le prix du taille M a quasiment triplé entre 2017 et octobre 2025 passant de 64⬠à 176⬠!!! et 106⬠pour la taille XL !! C’était déjà relativement cher en 2017 mais là c’est vraiment abusif même si c’est un excellent produit.Au bout de 8 ans, j’en ai un qui vient de tomber en panne, ne se recharge plus, mais on peut considérer que c’est une usure “normale”, une batterie ne dure pas 20 ans.Néanmoins, je n’en rachèterai pas un à un tel prix, j’ai trouvé d’autres dispositifs qui offre un service à peu près équivalent et 10 fois moins coûteux.

Dieses wirklich revolutionäre Geschirr schlägt alles, was wir bisher an Beleuchtung für unsere Hunde ausprobiert haben! Das Spazierengehen im Dunkeln macht mittlerweile sogar richtig SpaÃ! Die Hunde sind von allen Seiten zu sehen, was bei Leuchthalsbändern nicht der Fall ist.Zum einen leuchtet das gesamte Geschirr in der gewählten Farbe oder auch dem gewählten Farbwechsel (für uns eher Spielerei), zum anderen reflektiert das gesamte Geschirr auch sehr stark, sodass wir, andere Spaziergänger und auch Autofahrer jederzeit sehen, wo sich unsere Hunde befinden und das noch auf ziemlich weite Entfernung.Zudem ist das Geschirr sehr stabil und gut verarbeitet, sodass man auch die Leine daran befestigen kann, wenn man einen nicht ziehenden Hund hat. Die GröÃenauswahl über die Gewichtsangaben hat wunderbar funktioniert, beide Geschirre passen bzw. konnten über die zwei verstellbaren Gurte ganz leicht angepasst werden.Im Lieferumfang enthalten ist ein langes (!) USB-Ladekabel sowie ein entsprechender Stromstecker. Leider war hier bei einem unserer Geschirre der Stecker nicht für das deutsche Steckdosensystem passend. Da wir aber sowieso über ein USB-Mehrfachladegerät laden, war dies für uns kein Grund zur Reklamation.Zugegeben, der Preis ist ziemlich hoch. Aber wenn man bedenkt, dass ein Hundeleben unbezahlbar ist und die Sicherheit im Dunkeln mit diesem Geschirr um ein Vielfaches erhöht wird, ist der Preis für uns gerechtfertigt. Und wie bereits erwähnt, ist die Qualität und die Verarbeitung sehr hochwertig.Die Lieferung kam innerhalb von 2 Tagen, obwohl der Verkäufer in England sitzt.Daher von uns 5 Sterne und eine klare Kaufempfehlung für jeden Hundebesitzer, der monatelang im Dunkeln spazieren gehen muss.
