Really cute
I just got this so my budgies aren’t quite sure of it yet but I think they’re going to like it! It hangs easy and I actually ended up shortening the top so it hangs closer to the ceiling of the cage. The ladder is really cute and can clip wherever you want or you can just let it hang down. The hole is large enough for easy access and it looks big enough for both my birds to cuddle inside.

A great piece for a larger cage – a littel too big
Ok, so I know that you can’t REALLY guarantee the size of something natural like this, but I was hoping the 4 inches was a bit of a better estimate – it’s more like 5+, or mine was at least. Unfortunately I can’t fit this into the space I was expecting a 4 inch coconut to fit, BUT it’s well made and will work really well in a future, larger vivarium. I don’t regret the purchase at all, it’s cute and sturdy.

A birdy adventure!
I initially bought my first Coconut House with my first bird, Commidus, but he was not interested in even being near it – he was rescued (out of a tree) from cats so he was quite traumatized and aloof and mostly just sat on a top perch and ignored everyone. When we got our second bird, Julia, she introduced Commidus to the joys of playing with toys (which he had not done at all, despite many options) and she LOVED the Coconut house so much that he also, in turn, came to love it and they would loudly discuss who’s turn it was to play in it. Commidus liked to sit in the entrance with his head inside the coconut and talk to himself… very softly… and listen to the echoes. They loved the first Coconut House so much that I bought a second, and they were starting to settle on which one belonged to who 🙂 The new one was slightly bigger than the first, so Julia (a larger bird) decided this was hers.Unfortunately, Julia passed away a short while ago, and Commidus went through a very silent mourning stage. He barely moved from his perch, and didn’t touch the coconut houses OR the toys which he and Julia had so loved before.Thankfully, over the past 2 weeks he has started to get happier again and is singing, chirping, burbling, and playing with his toys and, most especially, the coconut house.

Purchased for a budgie I haven’t got yet, not sure if he will like it because some birds use these things and some don’t, but the quality is amazing and the bridge feels very sturdy! I’ve put some bedding inside hoping he will sleep in thers some time
