The best lighting ever
I’ve had many aquariums over the decades, and this is the best lighting unit I’ve ever had. It’s a full-spectrum light with programmable intensity that is great for algae control while supporting live plants. And the moonlight setting is just too much! I’ve had mine for over one year, and it is performing like new.

Great “low tech” light for the money!
I have a 40 gallon breeder tank heavily planted with low tech plants like Anubis, crypts, some moss and a ton of guppy grass. Nothing incredibly care intensive mind you. For years I had used a very expensive ($150 at the time) Finnex planted plus 24/7. It was a great light that cycled through day and night lights to mimic the sun. However, it never seemed like enough and even though I have a low tech tank the growth was extremely slow. Loved the features and ease of use but disappointed with the light output Unfortunately it died on me. I needed a replacement quick so jumped on here and found this one. Some pretty good reviews, more basic in features, but with a wall outlet timer for $5, it seemed like it would work.Honestly, i’ve been blown away with it’s performance. I’ve had it for close to a year now and it’s been amazing. The light output is much higher than the other without seeming like it’s blinding the inside of the tank. I don’t currently have it raised at all, as it’s only 2 inches above the water, and the plant growth in my tank has been outstanding. All my plants are generating new growth, the moss and guppy grass is exploding to where I have to toss handfuls of it every other week. Anubias, which are typically slow growers, are growing much faster, taller, and fuller than ever before! For $40… i’m super impressed.I’m not sure how this light would do with higher tech tanks, as in tanks that have more intensive plants, CO2, etc… but for most fish hobbyists I bet this would do the trick. I’m sure some of the negative reviews come from them breaking down quickly or arriving non operational, and unfortunately you take that risk with every “electrical” item out there. My $150 finnex light should have lasted a few years longer, but it didn’t. So coming from somebody who, I would say, is fairly experienced in the hobby, this has been a great light.

AWESOME LIGHT!!! Worth the purchase!
I upgraded to this light since my Dwarf Hairgrass carpet was not growing like it should have been with the cheap Hygger light I had on it. I put this on the tank, set it up with the easy-to-follow instructions, and it works great! Looks just like natural sunlight shining into the tank, and can get nearly as bright! It really makes colors pop! It ramps up and down for sunrise-sunset, you can set what time you want it to turn on, manually turn it on and off without screwing up your previous settings, adjust the brightness, and more! My only complaint (if you can even call it that) is the fact that it isn’t water-proof like my other lights. That’s fine, since I have a glass top on the tank I put it on, but even so, I like not having to worry about dropping my lights in the water. I definitely recommend this purchase, and it was surprisingly affordable for the design and performance I’ve seen thus far from Nicrew.

Yall it was MAD confusing setting up the timer clock thing even with the instructions but just ask chat gpt, it told me how to do it and it works great! Other than that issue, itâs pretty cool and advanced for the price!

Amazing budget light!
I purchased this light because I wanted to illuminate my turtle tank at a reasonable price. I wasnât particularly concerned about its quality, but after a few months of use, I can confidently say that itâs incredible! Itâs been sturdy, functional, and incredibly bright. However, I canât discuss its timer function since I use a Kasa Smart Plug to control it. I can say that the available sizes are excellent and perfectly fit my 20-gallon tank.

Great for planted aquarium!
I love this light! It fits perfectly on my 15 gallon aquarium and itâs not too bright. It was easy to assemble and the set up instructions were easy too. So far my aquarium plants have been thriving with it and I have the timer set so it will turn on and off automatically. The lights are high quality, the product as a whole is sturdy and easy to move if needed.The only thing I wish it had was a designated button for the light brightness! Itâs kind of confusing to figure out how to adjust manually.

Great for the price
This is a quality light for the price, very bright has a timer, full spectrum so my plants are thriving, all for a reasonable price. Iâve gotten 3 of them now, one for my 5g shrimp tank, one for my 10 g betta tank, and one for the 55 gallon community tank.The only drawbacks Iâve found are that the timer is not super easy to figure out, it took a few minutes to figure out how to set it correctly, and if they get unplugged (in my case by a toddler), the timer doesnât immediately resume, it has to be reset.

My plants have done amazing with this light. The quality is good and I appreciate the legs that it is on incase you donât have a glass lid on top. I wish I had ordered the larger size, I believe I ordered the 35gal – 75 gal for my 75 gal tank. The 75gal and up size wouldâve been a better fit! No idea on the longevity of this light Iâve only had it for a few months with no issues, but as I see in other reviews itâs not a long lasting purchase so definitely start looking into a more permanent one later down the line.

I like the new timer set-up and this is a stronger frame than the older model. The LED’s are bright; watch the time and/or dimmer adjustments. I will keep this one high and dry; if I do that, I am sure unit will last.
