Great gift for bird watchers and lovers
Works great! I gave it as a mother’s day gift and she loved it. The setup was easy enough that she was able to get it going without any help and has enjoyed showing me pictures of all the new visitors to her yard! It surprisingly sturdy and was easy to fill with your choice of bird seed for your local birds. Overall, a great idea and a perfect gift for those who enjoy bird watching.

Great Product, Fabulous Customer Service
We bought this for my mom for an early birthday present. It’s well made, it’s easy to fill, and the camera quality is great. Note that you will need to purchase a subscription if you want the camera to identify different bird species (this is not included in the price of the product itself). I was a bit concerned about how much bird seed comes out (my mom was filling it every single day, or almost every day). But the company reached out to me directly to provide some possible solutions. It is RARE for a company to do that now days (and really care about making sure you love their product). We’re going to try larger bird seed to see if that helps. Great product and fabulous customer service.

Worse than useless
I have literally purchased thousands of items from Amazon but this is only the third I would rate as not even worth 1 star. We wanted a tree mountable bird feeder with camera to cellphone app. This states it does that IT DOES NOT. None of the pictures anywhere show it tree mounted with solar panel and if you look at my pictures you will see why. The device comes with a strap for tree mounting but it has no ratchet just a non return clamp. Even when tightening with tools the strap is too thin and slack and allows the feeder to dangle at 35 degrees from vertical so all the seed falls out. Worse still the solar panel has no included tree mount. How can you tree mount and use the included solar panel without a mounting? I decided to mount it on a piece of wood and trap it behind the strap and put a piece of wood behind the feeder to make it more vertical. That still didn’t work so I got out a trailer tie-down ratchet strap which could apply enough force to hold both securely to the tree. That is when we discovered nothing holds the feeder stationary. You can quite literally spin it around very freely. When you plug in the USB cable from the solar panel, that cable takes all the strain to prevent it rotating. What a TERRIBLE design. There were zero I mean absolutely nothing included to manage the excess cable or the excess original strap. What the heck you do with 3-4 ft of cable if you mounted it on anything less than a 5ft diameter tree I don’t know and the supplier clearly couldn’t care what an appalling mess mess it looks even after applying velcro cable mounts supplied by me. I could have cut the ratchet strap and removed the supplied strap if that was all the issues but having no way except the cable strain to prevent it rotating and the extremely messy looks was game over for us. We did however try it. We already have security cameras – if we wanted a security camera we would have bought one. This does not have any smarts or algorithms and treats everything as a bird, including ladybirds on the feeder or my wife, me or the Fedex guy walking past 10 ft away etc. Beyond useless and very annoying. It did connect to a cellphone. Overall this is a very badly designed very cheaply made poor quality heap of junk that I will be returning tomorrow. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. We have multiple successful tree mounted bird feeders already – they are not difficult to design. With squirrel, deer, racoons and bear they are hung in the trees with squirrel domes overhead and all work well. This product has no way to hang it and would succumb to the local wildlife within weeks. VERY disappointed – this was my wife’s Christmas present.
