It all began in 1994, with our rescue white lab, Winston, who was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia. Several vets recommended putting him down, but this was never an option for us.
We began researching alternative medicine while working with Dr. Pedro Rivera, a renowned holistic veterinarian.

Good all-around shampoo and helpful for itchiness
I’ve been using this shampoo for years for my itchy dogs. It’s good on its own for mild itchiness, and helpful in tandem with medication for more severe allergies. It’s also fine as a regular shampoo for dogs with no allergies. It has a pleasant, mild, clean smell without being overly perfume-y I used to always get it at Petco, but they seem to have stopped carrying it, so I’m glad I can still get it here.

Works, but be ready to remove the smell
I have a Weimaraner, seriously prone to skin problems for life. Out of all medications I tried with my veterinarian, using this product in conjunction with the shampoo and Rx antibiotics helped tame a serious bacterial skin disorder that seemed endless. However, be advised this stuff wreaks!!!! I found after several days of use that it was best to lay blankets on bedding and wash all soiled laundry separately than my human stuff. Great product, but seriously just keep your laundry separate, soap will not remove the smell until 2-3 cycles or more.

Helps our dogâs feet in the summer
Whether itâs allergies or hot surfaces or whatever, our dogâs paws have a hard time in the summer. We started giving his feet a brief foot soak in the tub using this and a couple inches of cool water after every outing and it really helps. He licks and chews on his paws less and any foot pad injuries seem to heal much faster.

Makes My Dog’s Hair Soft and Fluffy and Doesn’t Irritate his Skin
Many dog shampoos for skin problems and allergies made my dog’s coat look dull, lifeless and sometimes even greasy but this dog shampoo is wonderful in that it cleans down to the skin but also makes my Maltese dog’s coat very white, soft and fluffy. And it doesn’t irritate his sensitive skin and and makes him less itchy.The directions say to leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off but my baby starts to shiver in the sink after several minutes; so I wash it off after 5 -6 minutes instead.We have been using this shampoo along with the Septiderm lotion by Naturvet for about a month and my dog’s skin is finally improving and we tried numerous products before this one that did not work and my dog is no longer tearing his hair out, his skin is healing and his hair is beginning to grow back.

This was also touted for kitties, and mine was covered in nervous nellie hives – nothing new but he was miserable. After several attempts to get my rather large and muscular coon cat to “sit” in warm water for ten minutes – I purchased a 6″ high storage tub and placed it and him in the bath and he was very happy to sit there for 10 minutes. I did it twice, 2 week breather in between and he is completely free from the breakout. I have not issue with the smell as it really does not have one. Thank you!

Great for sensitive skin
Our cat is suffering from a skin infection + possibly some allergies. Got some pricey shampoo + meds and the cone of shame from the vet to help with infection, but that stuff did nothing to calm the hot spots, which were all over her shoulders, neck, and chest. Followed up daily bathing with this and it calmed our poor girl down instantly. She started being able to sleep comfortably with the cone on at night instead of fighting for a way to scratch. Scratching has reduced drastically and grooming is back down to normal. skin is nice and smooth, hair is regrowing. Our cat has sensitive skin and this has been her saving grace throughout this infection and the cold dry winter air.
