This Stuff is a Godsend! Helped Our Dogâs Severe Irritation Immensely
Our beautiful boy has severe allergies and his skin gets extremely red, itchy and then raw from the irritation and scratching, especially when allergy season is at its worse and he lays in the grass. We donât want to keep him from doing what he loves and living his best life so I researched lotions, creams, ointments and balms for dogs and this is by far THE BEST one I found!! Most of the others either werenât natural, or if they were, it wasnât safe for dogs to lick the product. How frustrating would that be?! This one checked off all the boxes! All-natural ingredients, made here in America by a trusted company and itâs safe if the dog licks it (and what dog isnât going to try licking it?) He doesnât like to be touched or fooled with unless heâs being pet or player with, so that presented a challenge. But, we just followed the suggestion that came with the product of putting a treat in front of him to distract him. We put a bowl of peanut butter down in front of him and wow! I could have been cutting his leg off and I donât think he would have noticed, lol! (Not that I would ever do that, of course. But these days, you sadly need to point out the obvious- and that was obviously a joke!) I was able to get a perfect amount of the balm on his lower belly, groin area and inside his legs (under all 4), and he let me even though the skin in those areas is very tender and sore. With just that ONE application, we noticed a marked difference!! He wasnât chewing and gnawing at the area incessantly like he had been. In fact, he didnât pay any attention to it at all, which was a clear indication that he felt a lot better! He licked the balm a bit here and there because I really went crazy slathering it on as quickly as I could everywhere, lol, and I think the greasiness felt a bit odd to him. But nothing to the point of being bothersome to him. He was much more relaxed and at ease since he wasnât in pain or itchy anymore. He was visibly relieved! Which took a huge weight of worry off of our shoulders. He already has to deal with grand mal seizures after his recent diagnosis of canine epilepsy. This is now one less problem for him and for us to have to worry about. The vet was going to put him on some sort of steroid cream, which would have required he wear a cone of shame (which weâre extremely uncomfortable having him wear when he could possibly have a seizure at any given moment), and an antibiotic, all which would have cost a lot more, including an expensive vet visit. This saved us the trip and expense and it saved him the anxiety of going to the vet and suffering needlessly with the cone and meds he didnât even need. His skin is healing so nicely now and he still hasnât been bothered by it at all. The itch was so intense it would make him cry and gnaw at it for hours. What a relief for both him and for us that heâs no longer suffering! I plan to add more as needed but so far, one good coat is all thatâs been necessary and itâs been a few days since I applied it. I got the 4 ounce tin so there is plenty left. Itâs definitely worth the cost and saves you money in the end by not needing a vet trip or expensive meds (though be sure to consult with your vet about any new rash or skin irritations on your pet. It works and it smells.
It works, it works and yes it works! My Morkie has been plagued since birth with allergies. We have spent a fortune at the vets office and the red patches and scaly skin would appears again and again. In desperation we tried Natural dog balm. My dog HATES the smell and after racing all over the house to catch her I finally trap her and apply it. After a few days the red patches are gone the skin irrationally and the constant scratching.Iâve learned from other reviews on other treatments that what works for one customer does not always work for another. This is my second tube and is worth every penny. I hope it works for you. Now be warned⦠most dogs will not like the strong smell.. but it works..for me.

Great product!
This stuff works great! My dog gets really bad seasonal skin allergies and licks the inside of her hind legs constantly, to the point where the skin was raw and crusty. I’ve been using this for about a week and I’ve already seen a drastic difference in the appearance of her skin. It’s not all the way healed yet but I think after another week or so, she’ll be back to normal. Highly recommend!

Looks bigger than actual product amount you get.
The product it self is good, however; while it appears to be about 3 inches long and a little over an inch wide, this product lasted my pocket pit (60lbs just to treat a itchy spot above his tail) lasted literally 4 days⦠the last half inch I had to dig my fingernail into to apply the rest, so clearly it isnât 3 inches worth of product and at 20 bucks a pop that is disappointing, it was packaged well and looked like it would last a month, however looks were very deceiving. Wouldâve bought again but not interested in wasted space, had it been 10 bucks- maybe Iâd try it again.

Iâve tried vitamins, soaps, and food for my dogs dry skin on his neck and this product works the best! It doesnât have a strong smell and it moistures very well. My second time purchasing this product. I have a pitbull/ healer mix about 85lbs

I LOVE this item! I have never seen something that can go on open wounds, but doesn’t hurt my dog and if she licks it she won’t get sick.The product’s smell is pretty intense, but the texture is roughly like coconut oil – hardish until heat touches it – then it smooths out and becomes spreadable.The packaging is understandable, but the lid can be difficult to get off sometimes. However this works perfectly, and every time I run out – I buy a new one. Honestly this is probably the best bang for your buck product this company has, its $30 but also lasted me like a year and half. I put it on cuts, heat rashes, raw areas, bruises or sore spots on paws.My dogs hate the smell, so do I, but they don’t mind licking it off, so it must taste okay – though that isn’t what its’ for lol

Have used this product for a few years now and itâs our go-to for tender paws and any small scrapes. From first use, this balm has a soothing effect on the skin and it helps with a faster healing process. Itâs a bit more expensive than some others, but worth it for the effectiveness – and a tin lasts for ages. Also appreciate that itâs safe to lick – important on paws in particular – and it smells good. Itâs also a handy size of tin to carry on trips.
