Wonderful bedding, easy to use, fluffy, good volume
Very pleased with this small animal bedding, itâs much better than most other types Iâve tried. The things that stand out for me are that thereâs really no dust, it absorbs odor and smells natural and nice. Iâm glad that itâs safe for all small animals due to it being Aspen, itâs a very nice wood that I havenât used before. The bag of shavings comes very compressed but once open thereâs much more volume as it fluffs right up. Our rats are doing very well with it and we will definitely be purchasing it in the future. Highly recommended!

Ferrets are loving this one
This is probably some of the âcleanestâ wood shavings Iâve ever picked up. Next to no dust, they smell cleaner than some of the other brands Iâve tried. The ferrets are loving it enough that I had to argue with my little boy about sleeping in them instead of doing his business like heâs supposed to. The bag isnât as big as some you get elsewhere but theyâre also compressed down pretty well so thereâs more in there than it looks. Iâd say itâs a decent price for what theyâre asking, given the amount and quality of the material. And the ferret approval rating is high so THAT should really tell you something!

Very soft and fluffy
First off, I will say the price is a BIT steep considering I can get a cube 10x larger at the feed store. HOWEVER… this is such a light and fluffy bedding, I absolutely love it. It’s aspen, so you don’t have to worry about any cedar oils causing respiratory issues in enclosed spaces, making it suitable for rodents, snakes, and birds. It has a pleasant odor that is not overpowering and as someone who has used aspen shavings and chips for decades, I have NEVER had an issue with aspen.It’s not chipped, and is more flaked in slightly curled pieces. It’s very light and airy once you loosen some of the package and fluff it up in the enclosure. It’s very soft, flexible, has no jagged edges, and would be perfectly suitable for snakes and leatherback beardies.Overall, it’s very soft, smells great, has no dangerous cedar oils, and fluffs up to a decent amount for several smaller enclosures. Very pleased!

There is a lot in this bag! I love the small pieces. I spread the bedding all over my chicken coop and chicken cages. Nice clean, bright look. Also smells good!

Low odor, no dust, medium sized chips
This aspen is medium sized chips which are a good size for most purposes. It’s low odor; some aspen has a pretty strong natural odor, but this has a very mild odor. There’s no dust….otherwise not a whole lot else to say…its aspen shavings; they work great as a bedding (or as part of bedding mix) for many animals

This is a great bedding choice for my hamster enclosure. It smells naturally clean right out of the bag, and thereâs no dusty residue like Iâve experienced with other brands. The shavings are soft, absorbent, and easy to spread evenly across the cage. I appreciate that itâs chemical-free and biodegradable, so I feel safe using it for my hamster. The bag is a good size and is easy to dump out of the bag. Highly recommend for small animal lovers.
