First let me say, I love the bright, fun colors. It’s different from all the other rope perches I’ve ever seen. The perch is simple to put in or on the cage. It’s sturdy and doesn’t give as the bird walks around. My Conure is a medium sized breed and quite the little chunker and this perch has no problem handling is weight and bouncing around. The price point is very fair compared to other brands. Keep an eye on the rope over time if your bird is a chewer as the shredded rope can become a hazard and get tangled around their feet. Just keep trimming the threads as they become loose.

Good for parakeets or smaller birds
Works great for a parakeet, would not use for any bird larger as the braided rope is not tightly wound and wire is easily seen between winds. Possibly dangerous

This is great for the outside of your cage!
Is it a little pricey for a bird perch? Maybe, but it’s quite long and bendable to take on any shape you want it to. I have a larger conure (blue crown), so unfortunately it does sag under his weight some, depending on how it’s arranged. But I did manage to find a formation that doesn’t move too much as he climbs it. I put it on the outside of his cage because that’s where he mostly hangs out while we’re home, and the screw caps to connect it to your cage are flat, so they won’t stick out like a wingnut does inside your cage. Very nice! My only real worry (which it’s too soon to tell) is that my bird will want to chew the wood at the ends of the perch. I think this perch is a great option for smaller birds for sure, but larger birds like conures and above might be able to chew through that wood.

Great rope toy
Of course, I got this for my lineolated parakeet. He seems to approve, and loves the bell. He likes to climb on it, but I had to fix it to a spot because he isn’t fond of rotation or unstable perches. He climbs on it confidently, just like with his other perches, and seems to like sitting on it when it’s colder in the house.Good quality toy, well made, and good value.

My bird adores this!
I have a Ringneck, and he is in love with this. Multiple times a day he traverses down the rope and hangs out at the bottom playing with the bell. So I got one that goes in a semi circle and attaches to the cage bars in 2 places and he likes that one as well.

Great! Plan Your Length Carefully
This is a great pop of color! Itâs so easy to install, and you can mold it into whatever shape you want it to hold, so consider what shape you want when you choose what length to buy. There was some concern that the fibers would catch and tear the nails of small birds, but it seems to be a safe material that breaks away easily under pressure. Consider supervising your birdâs first encounter or two with it to be certain. Great bird-safe perch and toy for the collection.
