Wild tortoise shows no interest. It probably will work with pet. Seems to be high quality in terms of package and molded nuggets.

Item was cheaper, but looks like the 2lb bags we’ve previously bought, however they are 1lb bags, so in the end they cost more then the 2lb bags.

My tortoises won’t touch this food.
I have a large collection of tortoises. Some are smaller and some are upwards of 300 pounds. They regularly get fruits and vegetables, but I also like giving them dry food. I get 25-pound bags of another dry food that they have been eating for years. I thought I would try this to see how they liked it. So far, no luck.I can tell if the tortoises eat their dry food because they will have broken pieces left in their bowls. After a day in the pen with half a dozen of my smaller tortoises, as well as in a pen with a 50-pound Spur Thigh, I could find no broken pieces at all. No one touched this dry food. Considering that this food is many times more expensive than the other brand I was buying in 25-pound bags, I will not be switching over to this new food.

They gave our tortoises diarrhea so I quit feeding it to them and noticed a month later that the sealed bag was full of moths.

So far, so good!
Had it over a week and fed it to my Herman’s three times and he is really enjoying it. He likes Mazuri and greens mostly so it’s nice to have something extra to give him… I make sure to moisten it before feeding him.

My tortoises love it. Based on the composition, I would say it is better than mazuri tortoise diet. Both my leopard and radiated eat this over the mazuri side by side. Much pricier however. You can get a 25 lb bag of mazuri for $30 dollars if you got to the right store.

Tortoise wonât eat it
I have a one year old Red Footed Tortoise that seems to get pickier the older she gets. I was hoping she would eat this, but no luck for now. Iâll try again when sheâs a bit older.
