The local birds absolutely love these sunflower chips. It says no-mess but actually most of the birds will leave the skin of the hearts/chips and so I get a lot of leftovers. That’s ok as I then spread this in the garden. If I leave a pile of it squirrels or opossums will come and feast on them, so eventually there is no waste.

I have an automatic order every month because birds love it. Swallows, finches, chickadee, nuthatch, wrens and mourning doves swarm the feeder several times a day. Occasionally woodpeckers stop by. Whether it makes a mess is more dependent on the type of feeder and bird, but for the most part it’s a clean feed. I highly recommend this seed.
