Works great. Use an ant moat.
Works great ð. Try to hang it in the shade as the sun will make it too hot for the birds to hold on to, and can melt the suet. Also use an ant moat filled with water.

Room for more than one woodpecker to feed
Well designed double suet feeder with roof to shield from elements. My feeder came dented. The cardboard shipping box was not damaged so I have to guess that it was knowingly shipped to me in less than perfect condition. I chose to repair it rather than go to the trouble of returning it.

I ordered these bird feeders to put my suets in and I was very impressed with the quality of these feeders! They are very study and well made. I love the color brown they are (itâs a very natural brown) and since they are metal, they wonât weather! They are easy to fill and light weight. I would definitely purchase these again!

Easy to open and lock.NO assembly required.Woodpeckers, Bluejays, finches, Nuthatches Chickadees and Magpies love to pick at the suet. I put some close to the ground for the beautiful crowsð¦â⬠I bought 4 hangers, and have others too.These suet hangers attract all our local winter and summer birds except for the Robin. Love this little gem, well built, cute and effective. Hung it out with suet and the birds went wild. Then later I put some woodpecker feed in one side and viola the woodpecker was happy to come as well. Highly recommended :)6 Months Update.The suet holder is as good as new, weather proofing is very good. The birds love it and it holds the food very nicely. The only 2 suggestions I would make to the sellers are:1. Maybe have the option of having a base so that larger birds like bluejays can also sit and eat as usually they have a harder time hanging from the cage.2. A spring loaded back inside on either side that pushes the suet out, so that as it gets eaten, the suet tab always stays pushed against the grill for easy access for birds with smaller beaks.5 star product, highly recommended!

This product is wonderful! The birds live it and so do I. It stays closed and does not open in the high winds. Was going to buy a 2nd one, but find it is no longer available. I refuse to buy another brand as I have had troubles with others before. Hopefully this will become available again soon, before the winter is done.
