Measure the free chlorine level in water samples mainly for aquarium and aquaculture. The water sample can be freshwater and saltwater. This chlorine test kit can be detectable at 0.1 ppm for very chlorine-sensitive applications, for example in shrimp and fish hatchery. It is specially designed for low chlorine concentration between 0.0 – 2 ppm for general purpose and also detectable at high concentration up to 8 ppm for disinfection and water treatment application.

Showed My Filter Was Working
I have a cuzn undersink water filter for municipal water treated with chloramine. I needed to know if the filter was still working so I bought this test kit. The filtered water registered completely clear, the water from another tap turned yellow. Simple and effective.

Very cost effective kit for colorimetric assay of chlorine
Tried this with my tap water and conditioned aquarium water. 2 ppm for tap water and 0 ppm for aquarium water. Easy color test with the provided template and the measuring “cup” (cuvette). I use Purigen resin as a filter media to keep my aquarium water crystal clear, and I need to use bleach to regenerate the resin, thus this assay kit will be very useful to make sure that all bleach is washed off before placing the filter media back in the aquarium.

Doesn’t work. No reaction to my city tap water, which you can easily taste hints of chlorine in.
