Cute bowl, holds water
Decent size for a Fat Tailed Gecko or Leopard Gecko bowl. Provides a big enough surface without being a drowning risk. Not large enough for a full grown leopard gecko to soak in. The bowl is made to look like a little concave tree stump, which is super cute in the enclosure. I tested with water and it does not leak or absorb water. So it does, in fact, function as a water bowl.Only concern would be the cute fake tree pattern on the inside of the bowl – may make it more difficult to clean or could harbor bacteria if not cleaned regularly.

Not safe for pets
I bought two of these, and the paint/coating came off of both of them after being used to hold water. The water dishes left paint residue in my snakes water supply. This product is not safe for pets and is a potential health hazard. DO NOT BUY!!

Great for food or water!!
This set of resin dishes is wonderful!! They are heavy enough to keep from tipping over, and they can hold food or water for many species. I love how durable these dishes are!! Plus, they are simple to clean and will probably last a long time. So, I am pleased with the quality and value.
