The Snap’y Fit stainless steel pet bowl by MidWest Homes for Pets features a patented design that holds the dog bowl firmly in place but still allows the pet bowl to easily be removed for cleaning. The pet bowl comes with a rust resistant e-coated bracket that attaches to the dog crate / cat cage / bird cage or small animal cage with two wing nuts. The Snap’y Fit pet bowl comes in 4 different sizes; 10 oz. (1.25 cups), 20 oz. (2.5 cups), 1 qt. (4 cups), 2 qt. Customers disagree on spill prevention, with some reporting no spill issues while others mention water spilling everywhere.

Has lasted years
I have a mastiff , and this bowel has serviced us well. It is very sturdey and functional and easy to use. For refilling the water bowel I use a large disposable water bottle and stick through the crate slot , I never try to replace when full of water. I started out with the smaller set when she was a puppy and moved to the large size now that she is two years old. Love it.

Just the right size for a cat.
The metal used for this is strong and solid. I don’t think it’s going to ever bend. The hardware that attaches it to the cat condo bars is strong and doesn’t shift so the water doesn’t knock out. I think it holds about a cup and a half of water. The bowl is thick and has a good weight to it–not thin or flimsy at all. You can pop it out of the holder and then put it in the dishwasher for cleaning or hand wash it so it’s pretty easy to clean. I feel like my cat’s water will be a lot easier to keep clean because it has a mirror-like quality to it too so you can see if there are any hairs or specks of anything in the bowl. I highly recommend this bowl in particular for a crate or cat condo. No more litter trailed into the water since this bowl is raised off the floor of the crate. I highly recommend this product!

buy a turkey baster! or bring a rag
I love this bowls 6 days a weekâ¦on the 7th I only like them. they are heavy duty and made with a heavier gage steel than all but my largest food bowls which I have had almost 20 years. if there is even a 1/2â of water in the bowl when you get it out to clean – itâs going to slosh. if thereâs half a bowl of water – well itâs going to be a big slosh, possibly an expletive and definitely a clean up. I have done everything from waste a dish towel to soak up paper towels and itâs just a pain. my wife suggested a turkey pasted and truthfully thatâs probably the least wasteful thing I have used. itâs better if thereâs more water but you can sort of tip the bowl to one side to get the water to build when itâs low.the good news is my dogs havenât made a mess with it which hadnât always need the case. so with that one caveat in mind, I highly recommend these and anticipate having the for a very long time.

Well-made and sturdy
Love the steadiness of this product. I bought the smallest one for budgetary reasons. I have a 35 pound lab puppy and only needed enough water for four hours. Before I put the water in it, she promptly removed it.Once she gets over the Newest of it. Iâm sure she will leave it alone.Great quality, super easy to install and easy to remove to clean and add freshwater.

A must for a crate!
Awsome bowl, hard to knock out if you dog starts messing with it. However, this is the reason why it isn’t too easy to take out to refull or clean. I rather have that than the bowl that doesn’t stay in place. Very good for water or food. Easy to clean and to set up at the spot of your preference.

Can you bench 500? This is the bowl for you.
I bought this bowl because it looked sturdy, low profile, and easy to use. It’s two of those things.First, the manufacturer put stickers on the bottom and side of the bowl.”That’s okay,” you may be thinking, “they make easy-to-remove stickers.”Oh, you sweet summer child. These stickers were deeply, deeply committed to their relationship with the bowl. They weren’t just paired; they were soulmates. It took a full day of soaking and scraping to get the sticker out of the bottom of the bowl. The sticker on the side will remain there, looking increasingly tattered and collecting dirt, until the sun has become a red giant and swallowed the earth.Second, the snap-in feature can only be described as such if you’re Thanos. You can snap the bowl in place, sure. Will the world be the same afterward? Definitely not. There’s water in the bowl? Not after the Snap, my friend. Once you’ve applied the eleventy billion tons of pressure needed to secure the bowl, it lurches into place all at once, leaving half the water behind and launching the other half over the side. You can snap the bowl in place and THEN add to it, butâand the whining here is fully intentionalâwhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?Nonetheless, I was resigned to leaving the bowl in place and simply adding waterâuntil my dog got food bits in the water. The only course of action is to don scuba gear, brace my legs against something sturdy (like an anvil or walk-in safe) and commit to being doused in dog-slobber water as I pry the bowl from its setting. On the plus side, this counts as both leg day and arm day.Kudos to MidWest Homes for Pets for creating a … um … *robust* product. I’m going to go change the bowl. Pray for me.

1 Quart (4 Cup)
I went searching for a water dish for our pupâs crate… I didnât want it to rest on the floor because I knew sheâd tip it, plus that takes up valuable space for her to stretch out. I also wanted it to be elevated without leaning, and securely held in place. Oh, and much like Goldilocks, I didnât want it to be too big or too small, had to be just right. Bingo, found it! Her crate is 19â high by 25â long and I purchased this bowl in the 1 Quart (4 cups) size and it fits perfectly. I installed it in the corner where the door hinges so she wonât bump and splash it when she goes in and out. BTW easy to install and well-built. My only complaint, and really I have only one complaint, is that when the bowl âlocks inâ to the holder it really snaps in and that holder holds on for dear life! When you want to take it out to rinse or clean it and thereâs still water in the bowl, get towels and lay them underneath because there is no gentle way to get the bowl out of the holder without force, and without water splashing all over. Iâm hoping itâll loosen up a little over time, but I did say I wanted a water dish that held securely so careful what you wish for I guess lol. All in all itâs perfect and I recommend it.

Super easy to put together and it stays in place.
I got this for my dog he would always spill his water right after I put it in his kennel. This helps keep it out of his way. It makes me so happy to know he will have water for the hole day.
