Another great Metra product
I used to work for Fry’s Electronics and we carried Metra products, I used this in a car that I sold, it was a 1996 Acura Integra, it had the stock stereo and I wanted to put in a better stereo for when I sold it. Pretty much all of Metra’s products are the standard when it comes to car audio. If you installed this incorrectly then it wont work. There’s nothing bad I can say about Metra since all of their wiring harnesses and dash kits work perfectly. They are almost always true fit, this cable is no exception, and the reason you purchase this cable is so that if you ever want to go back to your stock stereo (so taking out your pioneer/kenwood/etc) so that you can put your stereo into the next car that you purchase and put back your old stock stereo. Also this connection makes it easier to install since you do all the connecting outside of the car then just plug it in.

Perfect for 2001 Acura Integra
I was looking at these at an unnamed local large electronics store, and they are $22!I had to look at the different ones for a while on Amazon and the photos to try to figure out the right one to get. This is the correct one for a 2001 Acura Integra GSR. (And all other integra trims for that matter). Metra’s site and some other sites list a different one because they generally list them for Acuras and Hondas by year. The integra was unchanged up to 2001 for the stereo wiring so it does not use the one most sites suggest. This has all functions (driving light dim, power antenna) that should be there and does not leave out any wires.You can’t go wrong for the price!! I had it soldered up and my stereo installed in no-time at all.

Wouldn’t do it any other way!
Used this item with a JVC KD-R200 stereo in my ’97 Honda Accord 4dr Special Edition. It had some wiring options that did not apply to my vehicle nor to my new stereo, so I just taped off those (power antenna, lighting dimmer, etc…)This plugged right into the existing female harness of the vehicle and made the installation a snap. I used a “Metra 99-7892 Dash Kit For Honda 90-98/Acura 90-01” to get the new stereo to fit into the hole that the OEM stereo came out of and finished in less than 90 minutes.It took 15 minutes to connect this item to the new stereo with some crimp caps. I cleaned it up with some zip ties and was able to replace the OEM CD/AM/FM stereo without cutting any wires on the vehicle. I could easily replace the OEM unit as the original harness remained unaltered.I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to avoid cutting into the wires on your car!

Correct Harness for 92-95 Honda Civic and 96-98 Honda Civic (w/o Keyless Entry)
This stereo adapter harness worked perfectly in my 1997 Honda Civic DX (Hatchback). I’ve also installed one in my 1995 Honda Civic EX (Coupe). Both worked perfectly. There were some discrepancies in the reviews and product description, which is why I wanted to make a review.THIS harness (Metra 70-1720) will work in ALL 92-95 Civics, no matter the trim level. It will also work in ALL 96-98 Civics no matter the trim level or body style. The one thing that you have to know however, is that some 96-98 Civics have factory key less entry. If you have this in your Civic, this harness will NOT work properly. Metra makes a different harness for those cars. This harness WILL NOT work in 99-00 Civic. (The plug was changed for those years.)I have seen a few questions related to this exact product, so I’ll try to add some useful information for potential buyers. The wire size is 16 Gauge I believe. (Butt Connectors that are 22-16 Gauge are perfect for this harness.) The wires have pre-cut ends, so that you can just pull the wire insulation free without tools.Someone commented that their harness came in a plain envelope. I’m not sure what happened there, because mine came in a legitimate poly bag from Metra. It also has the wiring color codes on the back of the package. (I’ve included a picture of the exact package.)Considering how much Wal-Mart and other shops charge for stereo wire harnesses, this is absolutely the best bang for the buck harness you can get.

Fit just fine. 1995 Honda Civic EX coupe
It fits just fine. However the clip doesn’t secure tightly. I can remove the connector without having to raise the locking clip. It doesn’t seem like it will disconnect.
