Great feeder
NoI like that this feeder is sturdy I filled it up with ease alot of people talk about not squirrel proof.I put up a squirrel barrier and added hot red pepper to the foodSquirrels taste that and won’t return and will not harm any birds.i recommend to buy this bird feeder

Well made metal bird feeder, but not squirrel proof!
The birds seem to love this feeder, as well as a very persistent squirrel, I got the metal feeder because the squirrels destroyed the last two, wood and plastic.

A bit difficult to fill
The product is attractive and sturdy but is a bit difficult to fill completely because it collapses when placed on a hard surface like a table. In order to fill it completely, it needs to be hanging free from contact with a hard surface. I have it hanging from a tree limb which would mean I would need to carry the 10 lib sack of birdfeed up a ladder with me or transfer some into a separate container. The alternative I arrived at was to have my wife hold it up while I filled it from the sack. I then took it back up the ladder and rehung it from the limb. It’s certainly not a significant problem and doesn’t, at all, render the feeder unusable, but it’s the only one of the three I have that presents a problem with filling. It is also not 100% squirrel proof, but I never really expect any of them to be so. Squirrels are incredibly clever in finding ways to raid feeders. Our resident rodent found a way to get at the feeding tray from the side. I moved it to another limb and have not seen him get at it, but even if I had left it where it was I think the effort required would have prevented the furry thief from being a regular raider. In any case, I don’t mind if the squirrels take some of the feed as long as they don’t make pigs of themselves and empty the things in a day or two. Our squirrels are very civilized and seem to understand and accept the arrangement.

4 cups not 4 pounds
I ordered this because it stated it held 4 pounds and I thought that in the winter the fewer times I have to tromp through the ice and snow the better. My perkey pet feeder holds 2. 5 pounds , this one is very small. It is well made a a nice feeder . For those trying to find a feeder that resists squirrels, this one will work, as they can’t destroy is and only get a few seeds at a time. I place it where they can’t jump to it, grease the pole and have an additional squirrel guard, Keeping it full will require more work and the variety of birds attracted may be limited.

Large, easy to fill, durable and nice looking!
I purchased this feeder in hopes to attract pretty birds this year. Itâs been up for a couple of months and holding up really well. Itâs designed to withstand the elements. With a drainage hole~ No standing water~ and no rust!It holds a ton of seeds~ I only have to refill it every couple of weeks. Very easy to do the top just pops right off.Designed with birds in mind with a thin wire ledge that seems to be easy for them to hang onto.I love the additional light source that it adds~ illuminating my back deck effortlessly. It Has a helpful on and off switch if you decide not to use it.It holds a lot of juice and stays lit all the time!Nice looking, simplistic & rustic design- accents my home wonderfully. The coated wire hanger is very durable and Iâm sure will last for many years.Iâm Extremely happy with this purchase!Worth the price!

Do not purchase. Feeder does not allow birds to access it seeds.
Birds could not get the food out of the feeder. I placed seeds in the feeder, from the beginning,, the birds had a very hard time getting food from the feeder. Then a few days later the birds could not reach the seeds at all and soon the seeds began to grow roots. I then tried cleaning the feeder however, the seeds had now developed a bad odor and small worms, I regret throwing the box away, making it impossible for me to return the item/feeder. Very disappointing. The feeder looked good, but it does not serve its purpose and made a mess of the bird feed.

unit can collapse for storagemy only complaint is I wish the top was bigger and had more overhangthe larger squirrels still seem to be able to hang from the wire and still reach the seeds at the bottomthe unit is all metal and well made otherwise

We really like this feeder …. it is easy to fill and is very sturdy … I am sure we will have it for many years! I like the design as the birds can eat from the trough or through the mesh walls. Great for all sizes of birds … we have finches, blue jays, cardinals, and even black crows as well as many others. The only downfall to this feeder is it is NOT squirrel proof. I am trying to install a baffle to keep the squirrels off it but they are able to hang on and eat or spill a lot of the food. Overall, a wonderful feeder …. but not good in an area with lots of squirrels.

Très robuste, tout en métal. Les oiseaux peuvent s’alimenter à travers les quadrillages et à la base de la mangoire. Je m’en ai commandé une deuxième.

We put this on a tall shepherd hook stand, and the squirrels are still trying to figure out how to get to it! The sparrows are fighting for footholds. More than four birds at a time creates conflict. I think it is an awesome feeder!
