Location, location, location
Feeder up a week now and not one bird has landed on it much less eat from it. Changed locations, changed food and changed height. No takers yet. Possibly the red color? Update 08/12/25. Feeder still will not attract any birds regardless of what I do. One did land on it momentarily, but flew away. Feed level has not lowered any. Because the upper looks like a cage? Color, red, possibly? It’s such a well made and nice looking, to humans anyway, feeder. I’m perplexed. I’ll leave up and maybe one day the birds will get accustomed to it. Update: 08/13/25. Hung feeder under the three bird houses I have and they now flock to it. Two to four stars now.

Good feeder, NOT squirrel proof
I bought this feeder 2 years ago and it is still ho,ding up well to year round use in Ohio. However, it is not squirrels-proof, the squirrels can hand on and eat all the seed out of it in no time. The seeds do get stuck in the bottom and need to be scraped out. And the top part slides down when you fill it, so you have to hold the top mesh part up while filling.

Best feeder yet
Nothing is actually 100% squirrel-proof, but hanging under a baffle this is the best I’ve seen. Of course the squirrels now hit the ball-shaped feeders instead, but they have to work harder for those. Nice looking too.

Great quality. Birds of all sizes use it.

I love the looks. Holds lots of food. Easy to fill. Chipmunks sit on the perches and the squirrels can hang on with their feet and hands. They do eat but only a bit at a time.

Very cute & steady, but not good for places where it rains often. It doesn’t protect the grains from the rain and then it’s a mess to clean.
