Great toy
First off, Melissa & Doug doesnât get enough credit â 9 times out of 10 their toys are fantastic! They always include the little details that really elevate pretend play. This horse care set is super cute! The stable folds up for storage itâs made out of hard plastic material that will last a long time, which is nice, though some is made of cardboard that might not last forever the pretend water for the bucket is card board. Still, it includes everything your child needs to care for their horse and encourages such sweet, imaginative play. Also allowing the horse to be soft and cuddly for winding down time. My daughter loves it! Perfect size doesnât take up a lot a room but bigger than the Barbie sets to feel like your taking care of it.

Iâm a big Melissa and Doug toy fan and this one did not disappoint. My little horse lover LOVES every single part of this toy. The quality is right in line with most Melissa and Doug toys…I might even go as far as to say it may be considered better. All the pieces are made well and durable. The little additions that allow your kiddo to personalize it are really awesome like the name stickers for the horse and the way all the pieces can be placed anywhere in the stable. One thing I feel like might be a fun addition would be if Melissa and Doug included a washable dry erase marker. The kit comes with a checklist for âchoresâ necessary to take care of your new pet and this piece is made of the same plastic the stable is made from. So when my LO opened it and started playing and insisted on being able to actually mark off each chore as she did it, I dug out a dry erase marker for her to use and it worked perfect to wipe clean and re-do each day. Itâs a really fun, interactive toy with zero batteries and screens. Win-win-win. Not to mention the lessons of responsibility my LO is learning without even realizing it. It is definitely mom and kid approved in our house and we have gotten lots of play time out of it already since Christmas!

Perfect for very young horse lovers
I bought this play stable with plush horse for my almost-three year old granddaughter, and she absolutely adored it! The pony is soft and cuddly, and the many accessories make imaginative play endlessly interesting. Set comes with saddle, bridle, blanket, water bucket, feed bin, plastic hay and oats, and a variety of grooming tools. Three year olds donât have very long attention spans, but my granddaughter played with her new pony for at least 45 minutes straight! The only drawback is that the stable is made of cardboard, so probably will not last long. However, the whole shebang comes in a little cardboard suitcase, just the right size for a toddler to carry around. All in all, a great gift!

Horse Era
PERFECT gift for a little girl in her Horse Era! I made the gift box a horse stable and took the horse stuffy out, then wrapped the rest of the box with the extra and put it in the stable box for some height and put horse on top so she could look out the window perfectly- the little girl it was for loved every part! It’s a good quality item and comes with quite a bit of goodies! Now for durability against a crazed 3 year old I’ll never have an answer cause I don’t see her- but I’ve been told she loves it!
