Skyscraper for Cats â Now Leasing Units to Every Furball in the House
With the number of cats we foster each year (plus our resident hooligans), Iâve become a part-time carpenter, upholsterer, and cat-tree chiropractor. Scratching posts wear out, hammocks sag, and sometimes a âdisagreementâ leaves the tree tilting like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. So, when this floor-to-ceiling tower appeared, I was equal parts hopeful and suspicious.First things first: this tree only works if itâs braced against an actual ceiling. Drop ceilings donât count unless you want your cats surfing down a ceiling tile. If you want extra security, add a slip-resistant pad (a square of neoprene works great) so the post doesnât slide on smooth paint. Once locked in, the tension system really does hold everything steady.Assembly was refreshingly simple. Measure your ceiling (most are around 8 feet), pick the right post sections, and fine-tune with the crank. The base takes a few minutes, but the rest is basically âscrew it together and stack it up.â Shelves and hammocks can be rearranged, and since we already had spare hammocks from retired cat condos, we added those too. Honestly, I wish this came with two or three hammocks by defaultânap space is always in demand. Our younger cats claimed the tower first, immediately turning it into their surveillance perch. From seven feet up they can plot sneak attacks, supervise dinner prep, or judge me for daring to fold laundry wrong. Older cats took longer to trust itâfeline instincts mean nothing new gets climbed until itâs proven safeâbut after a couple weeks, everyone was on board.Build quality is solid. The posts take scratching abuse without fraying overnight, the hammock hasnât collapsed (yet), and the whole structure feels much sturdier than the bargain trees Iâve patched together in the past. Yes, thereâs a little wobble in the middle if you shake it, but locked top-to-ceiling, itâs not going anywhere. In plain English: itâs tall (7â9″â8â10″), easy to assemble, and flexible enough to customize. It saves floor space, looks tidy, and gives the cats their own penthouse view. Considering the alternative is more duct-taped scratch posts and tilted platforms, this tower is a winner.Bonus: the cats love the top tier so much that itâs basically turned into a feline version of âKing of the Hill.â Bring popcornâyouâll get a nightly show.

Fun tree for cats
Fairly easy to set up. My cats love it. Iâm sure youâve seen in the other reviews⦠the cat tower must be all the way to the ceiling! It needs to be pressed against the ceiling to remain sturdy. My cats love it!

Decent Cat Tree, But Check Dimensions!
This cat tree has been an absolutely amazing addition for our home, especially since it brings so much fantastic vertical space and enrichment for our indoor cats! It’s truly a game-changer for their daily fun!Right off the bat, the adjustable height mechanism is truly excellent; it allowed for a perfect, secure fit against our ceiling, giving it fantastic stability, which is a huge plus! Our cats immediately took to the different levels, especially enjoying the high perches and the cozy hammock, which is fantastic for their enrichment!A really nice touch is that the scratching posts have been a huge hit, saving our furniture from claw marks, and the gray color blends nicely with our crafting room decor, which is awesome! Our smaller cat absolutely loves the bottom condo, which is fantastic! My one little thing, however, is that while our smaller cat loves the bottom condo, I do find some of the platforms and the condo itself feel a tiny bit narrow for our larger (like Garfield larger) cat to sprawl out comfortably. Despite this minor point, for a space-saving cat tree that offers great vertical enrichment and truly fantastic stability, this one truly delivers a happy and engaging environment for most cats. Luckily my larger cat has another larger cat tree he loves to use!All in all, I’m really happy with this cat tree. It works perfectly, delivers fantastic vertical enrichment, and its ease of setup and stability are definitely a game-changer for providing a great environment for our feline friends! Definitely worth getting for your beloved cats!

Did not work out good for me
Bottom started to twist and collapse when I cranked it up to ceiling to stabilize. Maybe 4 posts in the base would have been more stable than 3 posts. One of the tubes also broke while trying to stabilize it. I wanted to like it but I needed it to be stable for my cats safety.

Great cat tree
Well this is a bit of a different one. I have never had one that went floor to ceiling before. I am loving it though and so are my cats. We have 4 of them and they are able to run and play on it without issue. I like that it takes up a smaller footprint as well on the floor. This lets me get it in my office without much issue and then I am able to save space for them to still have something to do in here. Seems really sturdy and like it will last quite some time. Assembly is a breeze as well.

Not sturdy at full hight.
Not good for high ceilings; works better at the 93″. Fabric is soft but not durable.

Know your cat
Our cat didn’t like it and we struggled to install it securely.

“Made4Pets Floor to Ceiling Cat Tree Joystick Design with Adjustable Height 93″-106″ Cat Tree for Large Cats Adult with Sisal Scratching Post/Hammock/Condo/Spring Ball for Indoor Cats-Beige” (Seller Declared.)- 4 Platforms plus base house; one platform is a basket platform. (Two platforms are the same, another one is a basket type and the fourth is like the first two except it has a wobble ball that screws into it and stands up.)- Base house has one large opening. (Cats could sit on top of it but there’s not much room as the slack adjuster mechanism takes up a fair bit of that space.) (There are 3 support legs inside the house but they are all off to the sides, so a small cat could curl up inside it.)- Soft cap. (The very top is a small 4″+- padded disk that goes against the ceiling to protect the ceiling. Since there is a slack adjuster near the bottom that pushes the tree straight up, this disk does not rotate.)- Two sisal wrapped poles. (These two poles are wrapped in rope for cats to stretch their paws. The other two main poles are wrapped in a soft carpet like material, that has a little stretch to it and is not glued to the poles’ sides.)- Basket platform. (The material on the basket is soft and a little stretchy so cats may be a little scared at first when they step into it. My Joshua did get use to it and now loves it very much as you can see in one of my pictures.)- Slack adjuster. (Sits above the house near the bottom and has two main adjustments. The first is a mass adjustment with two 3″ increments and involves a locking knob and a shaft you can twist, raise and twist back into a slot. The other adjustment you can make is like a fine tuning adjustment. You insert the crank and rotate it clockwise to raise it. (This adjustment is used to assert pressure of the tree against the ceiling to lock the tree in place.))- Comes with instructions. (Instructions are fairly good however some parts are printed too small.) (There are 6 threaded rods. One is shorter than the others. This is identified as “B” and the others are “A” Be sure to use the “B” (short one,) at the top. (It has a stop on the short end to prevent the rod from protruding the small disk thus preventing damage to the ceiling.) The other 5 are used to join the poles together with a platform in between.)Assembling was fairly easy with the exception of the threaded rods. I misused the small one near the bottom and ended up having to take most of it down and redo it. (Assembly goes from bottom to top.) I like the fact that they put a soft cover on the top disk to protect the ceiling. This allowed me to put this tree in a room that has that stucco (popcorn,) ceiling and not risk damaging it. The crank design is excellent and allows for a large amount of adjustment for various ceiling heights. There’s also an additional 5″ pole that I did not use as I have 8′ ceiling. (I do believe that this tree would fit a 9′ ceiling.) My cats absolutely love this tree. The soft platforms let them lay down comfortably. (Although they could be a little longer perhaps.) Esthetically it’s more a bedroom tree than a living room tree. The platform bottoms need to be dressed up a little bit. My Joshua and Emerald are so delighted with this tree. I also am happy with it overall; it is such an improvement over the old one that we have. The adjustment system is far better. I give this product a 5/5.

I have an older cat and while he always loves sitting on high perches, I wasn’t sure he’ll be still interested in climbing such a high cat tree. Turns out I was worrying for no reason, he immediately took possession of the top shelf, from which – I’m sure he thinks – he rules the household. This is a very unique design for a cat tree – it’s pressure fit between the floor and the ceiling, creating a very tall yet very sturdy structure. The mechanism in the tree allows for precise height adjustment and the crank makes it easy to tension the vertical rods. Once we had it properly set up it became more stable than a regular 4 foot cat tree we have in another room.Setup is straight forward and one person can do it, although it’s easier with a helper. Took me and my son about 20 minutes and we weren’t trying to rush it.Quality of the construction is good, carpeting is pretty decent although I think the fabric could be a bit thicker. The shelves and the basket are very stable and will work for a small-medium cats well, but I’m not sure a large animal will feel comfortable on them. My cat is medium sized, but gained some weight recently and I didn’t think he’ll fit in the basket, but turns out that he can liquefy himself and fits just fine. He explored the bottom covered box, but it doesn’t seem to hold much of his interest. He prefers the high perches. We had the tree set up for about 3 weeks now and it’s holding up fine to the daily use. The tension is still strong, the tree didn’t get wobbly and overall makes an excellent impression of durability. Because of its height, I’m still going to monitor the tightness of the joints, but so far it’s looking good. In the event an adjustment is necessary, it will only take a few minutes.Overall, this is a very cool accessory and quite attractive piece of cat furniture. I wish the shelves and the bottom box were a bit larger, but it doesn’t seem to bother our cat.

I am absolutely thrilled with this floor-to-ceiling cat tree! Itâs been a game-changer for my cats, and I couldnât be more impressed with the design and functionality.First of all, assembly was a breeze. The instructions were clear, and I had it set up in under 20 minutes. The height adjustability feature is a fantastic bonusâno need for drilling, and it fits perfectly in my living room without any hassle. The patented joystick system allows for easy adjustments to match ceiling heights, which was a lifesaver for me. And with the extra support post, it feels rock solid, even with my two energetic cats climbing and jumping on it.The structure is incredibly sturdy, which gives me peace of mind as my cats love to launch themselves from one level to the next. There’s no wobble at all once it’s tightened properly. It has five different tiers, and each level serves a different purposeâwhether itâs for lounging, scratching, or playing. The hammock has become a favorite spot for my older cat, while the younger one loves climbing all the way to the top perch for bird-watching. They both enjoy the built-in scratching posts, which have saved my furniture from their claws!Another big plus is the space-saving design. It fits beautifully in a corner, giving my cats all the vertical space they need without taking up too much room. I also appreciate how it blends in seamlessly with my home decorâitâs sleek, modern, and doesnât scream “cat tree,” which was important to me.The overall quality of the materials is top-notch. The plush fabric feels soft but durable, and the sisal posts are perfect for scratching without damaging the tree. The addition of the cozy condo at the bottom has been a big hit, and my cats enjoy curling up in it after a long play session. This cat tree has truly elevated my catsâ livesâtheyâre more active and content, and Iâve seen a noticeable reduction in furniture scratching. Itâs definitely worth the investment, and my mom will be buying one for her cats after seeing how much mine love it!If you’re looking for a functional, stylish, and sturdy cat tree that doesn’t take up a lot of floor space, this is the one. My cats love it, and I couldnât be happier with the purchase. My mom will be getting one of her own.

Iâve been looking for a cat tree that would work in my small living room but still keep my three active cats busy, and this one turned out to be a great fit. The floor-to-ceiling design makes smart use of space, and the adjustable pole easily fits my 96″ ceiling with a simple joystick mechanismâno drilling needed. Assembly was straightforward and took about half an hour with clear instructions.Even though it doesnât take up much floor space, it has plenty for my cats to do: a hammock, a condo, multiple platforms, and a spring ball toy. My tabby goes after that toy daily, and the sisal-wrapped posts have definitely reduced the scratching on my couch. The solid wood bowl ledge is a favorite spot for bird-watching and doesnât sag under weight. The condo base is wide enough to give it stability, and while thereâs a slight wobble if I deliberately shake it, it stays steady even when my 12-pound cat jumps on and off. There are a couple of small things to note: the fabric is on the thinner side, so Iâll be watching for wear over time, and the condo might be a bit small for larger catsâmine tend to use it as a tunnel rather than a sleeping spot. Still, from the moment I set it up, my climber cat went straight to the top, and itâs now her regular perch for keeping an eye on the kitchen.

This cat tree is perfect for what I was looking for, my cats love it very much and use it daily. It was super easy to set up and fits the space perfectly. I have 9 Ft high ceilings so I was a little concerned about it fitting the height and how that would work out but it works perfectly. We have noticed that the tree is a little wobbly but I have 2 cats that like to sleep and play on it and we have yet to have a problem with it. Would definitely recommend.
