    Donkey Tested, Arabian Approved.
This is a seriously good fly mask. Not kinda good. Not “good for the price.” I mean genuinely made with care—and if you’ve used as many fly masks as I have, you know that’s rare.Let’s start with the basics:✔️ Horse-sized fly mask that actually fits a variety of faces. I tried it on two petite Arabians and a Mammoth Donkey. Spoiler: it fit all their faces. Not all their ears—but we’ll get to that.🧵 Craftsmanship Notes:Detachable nose flap: Zips off easily. Covered by the softest, thinnest fleece I’ve ever seen used for this. No weird lumps. No rubbing. Just smooth protection for those sensitive horse snoots.Ear design:Wide base, longer than standard horse ear covers—not quite Mammoth Donk-level, but close. Silky-smooth ear fabric with padded fleece at the base for extra comfort. A+ for thoughtful design.Velcro placement:Two sturdy straps that fasten under the jaw—not under the throat latch like so many others. My Arabians needed it pulled snug; my Donk only needed the ends. That’s range.Donkey owners: The ear covers on this mask are roomy—wide base, long length—but not quite Mammoth Donkey size. I gave it a shot: trimmed the ear tips of the mask with scissors to see if I could make it work.Spoiler: still didn’t fit those glorious radar dishes. That said, it would definitely fit a standard Donkey’s ears and face. I ended up putting it on one of my Arabians for photos. (She’s photogenic, and she knows it.)☁️ Materials:Soft, pliable outer fabric with a little give, and airflow holes throughout.Durable mesh: Tough but still extremely see-through—yes, I checked. No, you don’t get a picture of me testing visibility. That’s between me and the Donk.Reflective strips above the eyes and on the nose—perfect for evening rides, right when flies come out swinging.🎨 Extras:The color is a rich, gorgeous turquoise. Not just pretty—easy to spot in the pasture too.I tested it with and without a halter underneath—fit just fine. There’s even a nylon hanging loop at the top for barn storage.👑 Final Thoughts:This is hands-down the best fly mask I’ve ever put on a horse. It’s durable, adjustable, breathable, thoughtfully constructed—and actually designed with comfort in mind.If you’re a horse or donkey owner tired of masks that pinch, twist, or fall apart by July—this is the one. Buy it. Your herd will thank you.

Great quality mask with a few minor fit issues
This is a great fly mask. There are a few things I don’t like but I wish I could give 4.5 stars instead. This is made from quality materials and sewn together really well. The mesh is very durable, it holds it’s form and is thick, not the flimsy material many of this style are made from. It is easy to clean the mesh and the fabric. The strip holding it on under the jaw has 2 velcro strips that are very strong, yet easy to remove. It makes it easy to get a good fit, snug but flexible. It has done a great job of keeping flies out and the sun off of a pink nose.A few negatives though. Both the nose and ears are really big. This doesn’t matter so much with the ears, it just makes it look goofy. The nose is so long though that it has had significant wear on it from grazing. Surprisingly, after several months, it is still holding together well, but could easily be shortened by and inch or two.The other issue is the placement of the the eye dart. It is too high, which leaves it narrow where the eyes actually are., which touches the horses eyelashes a bit. I think this would be an issue with any horse.I love this mask and would buy it again, I would love it even more if there were a few small tweaks. I suggest it for it’s quality and durability though.

  3. Amazon Lover!

Fabulous Mask with great clearance on Eye coverage.
I ordered the “oversized” mask, and it definitely did not disappoint me. I have a difficult time finding fly masks for my part draft gelding. They are either too tight on his head, the netting over his eyes rubs up against his eyelashes, or the ear netting is too short for his ears. The mask is also very well designed and thought out. One of its best traits is that the eye netting wraps around the side of the horse’s head so they have a full range of vision to the sides and back of their bodies. There are 3 reflective tape areas which I find helpful if either needing to locate my horse in the pasture at night, or if the mask were to come off, I could more easily find it. There is soft fleece material on every imaginable and actual edge on this mask, which minimizes rubbing and abrasions on sensitive-skinned horses. The quality and construction of this mask is outstanding, and I’d give it a 6-star in this category. The flap over the nose has a zipper to remove it if needed or wanted. The length of my horse’s head is super long, so this flap does not hit the ground while he is grazing, but I could see that it might happen on a horse with a shorter head. There are 2, 1 1/2″ wide, super-strong hook & loop straps under the chin. Luckily, they were smart enough to strong tabs on these straps because they are so strong that it would be difficult to pull them open otherwise. I only have one issue with the material used because it’s a big concern for my horse. The ear covers are super large, which is great, but it is a solid, nylon material, [vs. netting], and I find it does not breathe very well, so my horse is getting mild, superficial abrasions and it’s rubbing off small sections of hair on his ears. I rate this mask a 4.5…..Otherwise, this mask would get a strong 5 from me.

    It’s an okay fly mask
This is a nice fly mask with a really unique design. Things I like:Detachable nose flap: Zips off easily. Covered by soft fleece. Two straps that fasten under the jaw and allow for range and flexibility in the fit.Durable materials. Netting is decent for horses to see through. And I like the reflective strips for safety.Things I don’t like:Ear design is awkward with a really wide base and a longer/taller cover than most masks. My horse had it off within two hours, and searching for the fly mask in the pasture is not my favorite game. It was still in tact when I did find it (not ripped or otherwise destroyed so it has some durability).
