These are not bad big as I had imagined, and I am terrible at seeing with my mind… So we purchased for horses… Nope. But they work great for our cows and goats, the hook nicely onto fence and our cows were unable to wreck them (and these heifers think they are starving allllll. The time, so are aggressive eaters), so very durable product.

Just what I needed to Rock Salt for my Horses!
I use the Redmond Mineral salt rocks. They are 3-5#’s each. I’ve been buying the ones ‘on a rope’ and hanging them over fence posts. My mustangs love them. But the rope wears through the salt quickly with the rain and use so I wanted to get just the large chunks of salt that are 3-5#’s and MUCH cheaper than the ones with rope run through them. These will be perfect for what I need. I’m gonna put a big chunk of salt on each side. The divider will keep them balanced as the horses lick them and it’s deep enough they can’t knock the salt rock out of it. I’m going to drill holes in the bottom for drainage for when it rains but these are very thick and sturdy and the divet divider in the middle will be perfect to wedge a T-post or fence post into for extra stability when I mount them on the fence. I’ll try to add a picture when I get them put up. So far, love these and I’m glad I found them. Just what I was looking for!
