These colorful birdies are ready for high-flying learning fun! Kids learn counting, colors, matching, sorting, social-emotional learning skills, and more through fun toddler activities with the friendly birds found within the Peek-a-Bird Learning Buddies set from Learning Resources. Each of this educational toy set’s 5 numbered two-piece bird houses comes in a different vibrant color, including red, orange, blue, green, and purple. Each bird house also pops open to reveal 5 different birdy finger puppets, each of which sports a different facial expression—help kids identify happy, shy, sleepy, and more! Unlike many educational toys for 18 month olds, the Peek-a-Bird Learning Buddies grow along with your little one—build new imaginative skills during early games of pretend, then move on to using the birds as early math and color teaching toys! Find the birds during games of hide and seek, make your own matching toddler activities, or just let your imagination go! The two-piece bird houses in this educational toy set also help kids build coordination and other fine motor skills every time they pop them open or snap them shut. We’re Learning Resources®, and we’ve been helping parents and teachers build generations of amazing kids since 1984. Always A Win With LR Toys
I will never be able to express in words how much I absolutely LOVE Learning Resources toys. After having three children and experiencing many different toys, this has to be a top favorite for me. Here is why: By his first birthday, my son could identify these five colors! Then as his speech developed he began to say these five colors. Now we’ve moved on to the numbers on the little bird houses, 1 through 5. Sometimes colors on baby toys or books that are intended to teach them their colors are not exactly easy to identify as they are not basic colors. These are very clearly blue/green/orange/purple/red and so easy for toddlers to identify.-I would repeat the color throughout our play time with them and line up the houses in a row then the birds in a row.-I started showing him where each went, while saying the color several times.-Then emptied them and let him put them in the correct house.Sure enough, he was able to put them in the correct color then began saying the color. I could not believe how quickly he learned his colors. As a working mom, I feel so guilty that I am not spending enough time teaching my son but I am with these (and any other LR toy). It’s an easy learning activity you can do with your toddler and you’ll enjoy watching how quickly they learn their colors but also fine motor skills and coordination. This is a great gift idea for toddlers!

    Educational
This is very educational and great quality. I bought this for my 14 month old granddaughter for her Easter basket. She already can put the lids on the birdhouses. I am working with her the match the colors together. She loves just playing with the birds and likes carrying them in her hands. She will pick up as many as she can carry.Value for money is good, ease of use is good. The whole set is really cute. She is playing peek a boo in the photo with the bird.

    Toddler Approved!
My Granddaughter just loves Ms Rachel. I bought these for her so she could have toys that Ms Rachel uses in her show. She loves these! Totally adorable watching her pick up the appropriate box when Ms Rachel had hers and following along. She played for over 2 hours with these. I have to hide them when she is here for just a short time as she goes into meltdown mode when mom or dad picks her up. They are very sturdy. She loved telling me the expressions of the birds, the colors, the numbers.

Packaging could be more environmentally considerate
Very cute and yes, we follow along with Ms Rachel but is the triple plastic packaging really necessary? The five birdhouses are in one big plastic bag, each birdhouse individually wrapped and the bird inside is ALSO individually wrapped. Come on.

We love our learning birds and love to act out MS.RACHEL with this well made toy. Great for socio-emotional development with the little emotional faces on each bird. My 2 year old picked up the feelings of the birds quickly with this toy

    Bird house fun
We got this product after seeing it on Ms. Rachel. Our daughter enjoys carrying the birds and matching colors. The number of tail feathers also correlates with the number on the house. However, I will say she prefers your barn style matching set with animals over the birds. She is 18 months now.
