Max/Min Record/ EMS Adjustament/ AT Modes: Easy to know the Max or Min value during the continuous measurement, EMS adjustment from 0.10 to 1.00 (preset 0.95) more accurate measurement according to objects’ different emissivity. This ir laser thermometer gun designed to measurement objects’ surface temp. Switch to “AT” mode, can measure ambient temperature
Self Calibration Between -5℉ to 5℉: Impressed selfe calibarion of the non-contact laser infrared temp gun, if the temperature is 80.3℉ and the temperature value measured is 79℉, then 1.3℉ should be increased as a calibration value, you can calibrate the ir thermometer gun between -5℉ to 5℉/-5℃ to 5℃

Excellent Quality, Fantastic Price Point, Accurate for a Surface Laser Temp
Before I even get into this, I want to express how this was probably the cheapest unit I could find with the highest reading accuracy! So keeping price point in mind, I’ll share my experience. I recently grabbed a laser temp gun to check surface temperatures around the house, and it’s been a surprisingly handy tool. Iâve used it for grilling, checking HVAC vent temps, and even verifying oven or pizza stone readiness. What I appreciate most is the instant, non-contact readings, itâs fast and ridiculously easy to use.The unit I have has a bright laser dot, though itâs a single dot rather than dual-laser framing. That means you’re guessing the exact measurement area so itâs best to hold the gun close (around 6 to 12 inches) to get the most accurate reading. Just keep in mind the target surface should be at least twice as wide as the spot size or results can skew. Thatâs due to the distance-to-spot ratioâmine is about 12:1.Another useful feature is adjustable emissivity, especially when measuring different materials. Most low-cost models assume emissivity at 0.95, which works great for food, painted surfaces, or wood. But for shiny metal or glass, having the ability to tweak emissivity can drastically improve accuracy. In practical use, accuracy is surprisingly goodâusually within ±2â¯Â°F or ±2% of the actual temperature. I compared readings against known benchmarks and found them solid, especially between room temp and grill level (up to around 500â¯Â°F).It also comes with a helpful backlit display, ability to switch between °C and °F, and some models even offer high/low alarms. That makes it easy to keep tabs on temperature in dim lighting or noisy work areas. If youâre using this around the kitchen, shop, or garage, a few pointers:Keep it relatively close to the surface.Move the laser across the area to sample a few spots for a better temperature idea.Donât rely on it for perfect readings when measuring through glass, plastic, or steam. It should be strictly for surface-level temps.Final ThoughtsFor a non-contact thermometer, itâs a useful, fast, and easy-to-use tool that delivers consistent results. Just be aware of its limits on reflective surfaces and the importance of proximity. Itâs not a substitute for meat or probe thermometersâbut for checking hot pans, grills, HVAC vents, or electrical components, itâs dependable and convenient. If youâre interested in a specific model like Fluke or ThermoWorks, I can tailor details further.

Just as good as the more I expensive models if you read the directions
This is not a bad thermo gun for the $. If you know or can figure out, or learn from the directions and chart. How to calibrate ( use an anolog or basic thermometer to use as your standard temp.) And set the EMS according to the included chart. Than you can get a pretty accurate temp. reading, within +_- 1 deg. To change from c to f hold down the left button for a second or 2 turn off the laser using the right button. The middle button selects the modes, which will be shown on the screen. Then use the r+ l buttons to change values up or down. It works the same as they all do. None of these are automatic. They come from the factory with pre set defaults. But you can change them. So for the $ this one does the same thing just as good as the more expensive models. And with Amazon if you don’t like it call them they will send you a different model and give you a free return label.

Good choice
For the price, this is a great product. I bought this for random temp readings for my boat motor, but have found it most useful in the kitchen…especially reading oil temps when cooking. My wife tends to “wing it” when cooking in hot oil and has smoked out the house and burned pans. When i showed her how easy it was to get a temp reading with this gun, i didnt have to worry about a fire anymore!

Gets the job done!
Hey everyone, this food thermometer is all that and gets the job done. I haven’t used it that many times and now I need some batteries. The only thing is that it needs to be USB adapter…lol

Not bad for < $20 I found it slightly inconsistent and ranged up to (+/-) 3 degrees when compared to a $90 unit although sometimes it was spot on. The above statement assumes the $90 unit is more accurate. Nevertheless, this low end unit is accurate enough for the average home owner. If you need formal readings, buy a high end unit.

Easy to use
Instructions say to open the battery door and insert battery, but don’t point out where the battery door is. Looking at the unit logic told me it is in the handle and it takes 2 AA batteries that are provided. I tested by taking temp by my digital thermostat and the reading were the same. Good value for the money.
