Great grooming brush set
Both of these brushes have proven critical in maintaining my dogs coat. The large slicker brush is my go-to for regular brushing and constant hair removal. Of course no matter how often we brush there is inevitably a matte somewhere where the rake works well to cut through some of the tangle. Though much less used the handle on the rake brush s much more comfortable than on the slicker but my hands are comfortable enough to outlast my dogs patience. So far I don’t have any bent pins and both brushes are holding up very well so a great overall value for the pair.

Excellent kit!
Super great combo set. Everything you need to comb out that heavy undercoat in many dog breeds. I have a long haired dachshund and thatâs why I got this and it works great. The size of the wire brush is perfect. Itâs nice and large but easy to hold. The toothed handled comb grabs out that undercoat easily and removes it. A must have! The wire brush would probably be too much for your short hair hounds as far as comfort, but these really do the job and provide great brushing ability. Also, the metal comb is great for working on horse manes.

The straight comb is decent for general grooming and feels like it is made of stainless steel. The undercoat rake has a good shape and works through thicker fur without pulling. While the tools are probably better for bigger dogs we still found them usable on our smaller pets. The size just means you have to be a little more careful. Quality feels fine for the price. I would give this more than 5 stars if I could.I think I was kind of expecting a normal grooming set, however this is way more professional. I brushed both my cat and dog before using these and barely got anything. But this set allowed me to get their undercoats off and I got a TON of hair off… better outside then in my house. I don’t know what the pieces are called so will just describe them. I used the long silver comb first. It got a bunch of hair off my cat. I used it in the opposite direction a few times then could go the regular way and get the extra hair off. It was GREAT!!! I used it on my Boxador next and I didn’t get too much, but got ore than I had with my old brush. But when I used the undercoat thing with the blue handle? OMG it was pulling up so much of his undercoat. I couldn’t believe it. I knew he had been shedding because I was finding more of his hair, but he usually doesn’t drop that much. Holy cow, I got so much off from him with this!!!!! Again, I went against the grain so to speak and it would pull up the dead hair, then I could just comb or brush it off. I finished with the brush to smooth them back over. They both loved all three and like to be taken care of…lol ANd my pup is now able to be outside without panting.Spoiled.But the brush was easy to use, once my cat stopped nuzzling it anyways. It made finishing easy, and I could use the comb to clean the brush.I’m obviously not a professional, but these seem like a very professional, heavy duty, kit. I was beyond impressed with the results!!

Amazing how much fur this removes!
We have a basenji mix breed dog that definitely has a bit of shedding every week. So my wife started using the slicker brush on him and it’s just amazing how much loose fur Ilit removes, which helps thin down his fur coat to a normal level, and reduces shedding in the house. We didn’t end up using the undercoat rake very much as it didn’t seem to be as effective as the slicker brush. But overall, just the slicker brush alone has made this product a big success in our house and has definitely reduced shedding.
