Can these cartridges be used with other brands of filters?

Our extra small cartridges are designed to fit the filters that come with Koller products 1.5/2/3/3.5 gallon fish tanks. Filter cartridge size: 3″ x 2.2″ (L x W). It is best to check compatibility with other brands of filters before purchasing.

How often is the cartridge replaced?

Replace filter cartridge every 3 to 4 weeks or when heavily soiled.

Will the carbon in the filters affect the water pH?

Its function is to remove impurities and chemicals from the water, but it will not alter the pH of the water source. However, regularly monitoring the pH of the water is always a good habit to ensure that any changes remain within an acceptable range
