Suet Cakes Fit!
I wanted a suet feeder big enough for larger woodpeckers and this is perfect! My biggest concern after reading reviews was whether or not the suet cakes would fit. The ones I have fit just fine! I think any suet cake 4.5 x 1.5 inches or smaller would fit. The ones I get are 4.25 x 4.25 square and about 1 inch wide, so there’s no problem. I can see where a different brand could be bigger, though, so measure beforehand!Once you’ve determined your suet will fit, don’t hesitate! This suet feeder is excellent. Solid study plastic that will last and is easy to refill and clean. I’ve seen Downys, Hairys and Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, and all my smaller suet-loving birds use it (Pine Warblers, Carolina Wrens, Ruby-Crowned Kinglets, and Tufted Titmice). I haven’t seen a Pileated Woodpecker use it yet, but I think it’s big enough to accommodate them without a problem.The hanger is strong and solid. It’s easy to lift it off the hook the way the loop is made . The tail prop is great and something I had a hard time finding in plastic suet feeders at this price point.Oh, and if you’re wondering–the brown stuff on the side of the feeder in the video is spreadable suet. The birds seem to love it!

This is very well made, durable and easy access for the birds. My only upgrade request: Raccoons are able to get into it and clear it out by pulling the top off. Sneaky critters.I MacGyver’d a fix using twist-ties to lock it down. Maybe a future version with a snap-on top?

Kingsyard Recycled Plastic Suet Bird Feeder, Double Capacity Tail-Prop– Well made feeder. Plastic and take-apart for easy cleaning. We had a wood board with standard suet cages attached to each side and replaced it with this. It is clear that this feeder is preferred by woodpeckers and nuthatches who stay on the feeder longer than they used to. However, chickadees and tufted titmice that used to be attracted to the more exposed cages on the old setup seem less interested in this new feeder, or at least are taking longer to get used to it.

Easy to refill
Great suet holder/feeder! So easy to refill which is a nice feature. The birds love the tail board, especially the bigger woodpeckers. I would definitely purchase again!

This feeder actually can hold one or two suet cakes, stacked vertically, which allows the largest Red bellied woodpeckers as well as the smaller ones, amazing beautiful shy birds! Itâs also the only suet feeder out of three different designs that made it through with all pieces in place after two years of long seasons winter and spring. Squirrels or our local wild raccoon âvisitsâ and can take other-style feeders apart, leaving without the small chains at top and are able to chew and remove the coated wire pieces. This suet feeder is in great shape, looks so nice and built to look like hardwood, blends in the trees and gardens, a well made feeder so I am ordering a second one today to replace different ones that were demolished! Itâs worth the price. Easy to sanitize this feeder using 5-10% bleach/water followed by rinsing and air-drying. as it is made of recycled plastic. Enjoy helping our migratory and local birdsâ families any and all seasons!

Amazing! Within a day I had downy woodpeckers and northern flickers feeding at this feeder. They seemed perfectly comfortable on it, versus my fly through feeder where they would awkwardly hang off the side when trying to eat. It works perfectly and seems well made, to last. I also love that the grid slides out, in order for you to fill it.

We have had other suet feeders that didnât seem to attract woodpeckers very often. We decided to give one a try and within days woodpeckers were feeding at it. They really seem to like the length of it, it makes it more comfortable them to eat at. Look at the size of this guy that was eating at it today!

We have a single version of this feeder which we use all year. It helps them get through the winter, gives energy when they arrive back after a long flight, feeds the babies & gives them a head start for their long journey south, then winter starts again. All the woodpecker family use it, downies, hairys, pileated, red breasted & flickers! Even the cardinals get in on the act.I thought the price was very reasonable & I highly recommend this feeder. It would also make a great gift for someone who enjoys the birds.

Will hold two suet cakes one above the other so you can offer the birds two choices at a time if you wish. Seed and berries, meal worms and seed, crushed peanuts in suet. Itâs made out of recycled materials and built to last. Choice of green roof or blue. I prefer the blue. I may move it to the redbud tree. At the moment it is hanging on a multi hooked plant hanger along with some other suet holders.
