Decent quality product. The birds can get black sunflower seeds out of it, but it takes a little practice. At first, they won’t be able to easily remove them, but they seem to learn a technique. About 2 weeks after we hang these type feeders in a certain area the sunflower seeds start disappearing a lot quicker than the first week or two

The feeders that I had needed to be replaced so before buying these from Amazon I just purchased two feeders that held more seed and had larger perches. What happened was I attracted a whole city of black birds and other larger birds who loved sunflower seeds and the larger perches that could hold their weight. Those small birds didn’t have a chance against those bullies. So I took those back and ordered these from Amazon. In just two days the flocks of big birds disappeared and all the small birds returned. These feeders are well made and they have small perches that are perfect for cardinals, finches, nuthatches and other small birds. Big birds do come around but not enough of them to scare away the little ones. I like the fact that because they are small you are not leaving seeds in the feeder too long where they can get wet and moldy. The birds empty them quickly so they always have a fresh supply. Finally, I clean my feeders often and these feeders come apart quickly and clean so easily. If you are like me and love those small birds and want to keep the big birds away then these are the feeders you want.

Sturdy enough to survive multiple deer attacks.
Works well and pretty sturdy. I hung this on an oak limb about 8.5 feet up in a tree and deer jumping up on their hind legs have already knocked the bottom part down 3 times. It survived the falls with no issue. I just finished rehanging it about 12 feet up and hope the jumping deer cant reach that height. Unfortunately this will necessitate going up and down on a ladder to refill. Deer really like sunflower seed and I have to get creative to stop them from knocking down the bird feeders. PS, the birds like the sunflower seed in the feeder too.

Very popular feeder for suet nuggets
I use the small round suet nuggets, and the birds love this feeder. My woodpeckers like to get the suet from the mesh causing small pieces to fall off. The tray collects the small pieces, and the other birds eat them. I live in Florida, and this works good for average rain but not during the rainy season. The roof provides some rain protection but if you have a rainy season you may have to clear out the tray so it drains. During rainy season I put mine away and use an upside-down feeder for the woodpeckers and a bluebird feeder for the smaller birds. This leaves some birds out of luck till the rainy season is over.

Finally something just for the finches. I add safflower seeds and only finches and the occasional dove use it! They can finally have their own feeder without getting run off. The only problem is that after just one wash the black paint on the metal chips of and even the coating becomes rusted. The metal also is it sturdy at all just grabbing it bends the metal and is very malleable
