Great feeder. Worth every penny.
I highly recommend this feeder. It is VERY well thought out.This is the busiest feeder I have ever had. Every choice for the design and material is the best. Itâs easy to fill, frustrating for squirrels and big doves (they slide off the slippery acrylic roof, and the ledge for seed feeders is too narrow for them). The hanger is robust. It all looks upscale, the blue color is beautiful, and I can see if it needs refilling from inside the house. Also, I put a different kind of suet in the cage/holder at each end and discovered that we have a golden woodpecker in the neighborhood.

Perfect bird feeder
Highly recommend this bird feeder! It fits enough seeds without being too heavy and bulky. It also holds suet on the side so you have an option to feed a larger variety of birds. Easy to wipe off and clean. Birds love the perch on each side to stand and eat. Material is durable and comes in different colors.

Functional Good Quality Feeder for the Money
I love this bird feeder. It is very well crafted and still looks like new after seven months. The clear roof does protect the seeds from mild rain but not a windy thunderstorm. That being said the seed inside the feeder has never gotten wet or damp. The suet cages also work well, so the feeder has dual functionality. Additionally the feeder is easy to clean and fill. Our local birds come to the feeder regularly. I’m anxious to see what arrives next fall when the migration begins and the birds fly south. I highly recommend this feeder.

Key hidden features set this apart from the overpriced and the cheaply made
The mesh bottom substantially cuts down on seed rot and molds. The troughs are wide enough to allow more than just tiny birds to land. the see thru nature of the feeder attracts the birds more quickly and allows me to easily see both if the feeder is empty or if the seeds are wet/molding. The openings where the seed pours out for the birds to reach is just small enough to not rot or over pour but, much wider than the useless feeders who have such small openings that most birds struggle to even get the seed to fall down enough to reach. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the kingsyard double suet cages birdfeeder with the clear plastic top and sturdy metal wire hanger. Oh, and another point. The cheaper versions of this feeder often will have a wood bar across the top of the feeder underneath the ‘roof’ that you can’t see when you are looking at them online. It is almost impossible– EVEN with a spouted bird feeder container– to pour seed into these ones with the wood bar without spilling seed EVERYWHERE. This one does not have that annoying bar. I’ve had bird feeders for years, and this one is easy to clean, easy to refill, easy to see if it needs care, and easy to use for the birds. It’s also a very pretty blue. Highly recommend. Comparable to the $100 feeders being made.

Birds love this feeder, and so do I, but…needs a small tweak for bird safety.
So, I really love this feeder – and so do my birds. I have two, one in my front yard and one in my back yard, and they’re always the most-popular thing going. Finches, sparrows, titmice, chickadees, big fat cardinals (plenty of space for them, in case anyone was wondering!)…everyone wants this buffet. Easy to fill, stable in the wind, the clear lid lets in light and makes it easy to tell how much seed is still in there…If you had asked me yesterday, I would have said this was a 5-star feeder.But today, there was a tiny tragedy. A little sparrow had somehow gotten her foot slipped in the upper suet cage hinge, where it’s shaped like a bobby pin, and couldn’t get out. She’d been gnawing on her leg when I found her and got her free, so it wasn’t pretty. (She flew off after some time warming up in a towel, and I’ve seen her at the other feeder since, so I think she’ll make it.)I’ve taken small zip ties and tightened them around those open hinge ends, just to keep it from happening again. Although I do think it was a rather isolated incident – she really must have just gotten that leg in there *just* right – it would be safer if those top hinges closed entirely, just to make 100% certain that no other little bird gets caught. That would make it absolutely 5 stars.Still a feeder worth 4 stars, as it is. Just use something to close off those open hinge ends, for the sake of the birdies.

Bird Seed Bone dry even after torrential rain
I put this bird feeder out about a week ago, and always check them to see if birds are using them ok and that everything is alright with them. It took awhile for them to use the suet on the outside. I noticed they were not using the seed portion as we had had a very heavy rain one day. I feared the bird seed had possibly gotten soaked and they didnât like the feeder in general at first, but were further refusing it due to wet seed. After the rain stopped, I went to investigate the feeder. I opened up the sturdy plastic roof, and saw that the suet balls that were in the bird seed mix (the size of medium to large peas) had been âpluggingâ the opening, not allowing the seed to descend into the openings (duh lol), but luckily the seed in there was absolutely bone dry! It had been completely protected in this feeder despite the torrential long rain storm! I was so happy to find that out.I put that seed with suet nuggets on a platform feeder and put a more fine mix into this one. The birds have been going to town, enjoying the seed and suet now. It looks really nice. Also it reminds me of the Amish style feeder of a different type I bought locally that are super sturdy and look like theyâd last forever.
