The ONLY Seed Mix I’ll Buy – A Total Game Changer!
I’ve been using this Kaytee No-Mess blend for over two years now, and it has completely transformed my bird feeding experience. If you’re looking to attract a lively, colorful crowd to your yard, look no further. The birds are absolutely CRAZY for this mix! My feeders are constantly busy with a beautiful variety of birds. As promised, it’s a magnet for brilliant yellow Goldfinches, cheerful Chickadees, lively Juncos, and a whole host of other finches. It’s so rewarding to look out my window and see such a happy, bustling bird community. But the real star of the show is the “No-Mess” claim. It is 100% accurate. This mix is shelled, meaning the birds consume everything and leave behind virtually no waste. There are no unsightly piles of discarded shells underneath my feeder, which means no sprouting weeds in the spring and, most importantly, no wasted seed. I’m not paying for something that just gets thrown on the ground. It’s incredibly efficient and cost-effective.After two years of consistent use, I can confidently say this is a premium product that delivers on every promise. It keeps the birds well-fed and my patio clean. An absolute winner and a permanent staple in my shopping cart. Highly, highly recommend.

As far as flavor, I obviously can’t vouch for it, but the birds seem to love it!
My gold/purple finches, chickadees, morning doves (rats with wings) and squirrels (cute-looking rats) LOVE this birdseed! The two seeds are THE most preferred, both for their size (the tinier the seed the easier for finches to eat – especially the sunflower CHIPS rather than hearts) and nutrition! The fact that they’re shell-free makes a HUGE difference in what falls to the ground, because all of THAT gets eaten, too! The nyjer is practically invisible once it falls onto dirt or into grass, and the sunflower chips are gobbled up before the day’s over, so win-win! I have my bird feeder clamped onto a deck railing and on a long pole that swings out 360 degrees away from the railing so squirrels can’t get to it, and in a tube feeder specifically for finches, so the morning doves can’t eat from the feeder either (the perches are only big enough for tiny birds). Whatever food falls to the ground, falls onto bushes below me, so birds can pick these up later – and be safe from predators who can’t see them in the bushes. This bird food has NO millet in it, which is essentially “filler” (like corn or rice is in dog food) and ends up ALL over the ground, because the birds know it’s junk and disregard it, eating only the premium seed – nyjer and sunflower chips. As this food is pricey because of the quality, I stay on budget by only putting the food out in the morning and taking down the feeder at mid-day. The birds have plenty to eat all morning, and what’s on the ground seems to satisfy them, and me, because I can’t see anything leftover by the end of the day! No mess, indeed! The seed itself was fresh, didn’t smell funky at all, and exactly what I was looking for. I wish the bag was self-sealing (like a freezer bag), but I opted to get an airtight plastic container with a little scooper to store the seeds in and it’s perfect. All in all, this is great bird seed and the birds and I are VERY happy over all!

Birds like it
I bought this because the birds make a mess, spitting or kicking out all the filler seeds (milo, etc.) The blackcapped chickadees like it, as well as the house finches, and bushtits.

Attracts so many birds I had to refill feeder every 3 days.!
It attracts too many birds who eat it too fast that I have to refill feeder every 3 days instead of every 3 weeks. I ordered this variety to save money but will end up costing more to keep up with the birds. I may order the other No Mess mix that lasts longer and has more variety of birds but less of them so itâs less expensive. Iâm giving 4 stars since it works great if you donât mind refilling feeder more often.

Good product but the amount is too much to use before it spoils.
The birds like this product. The problem I had is the bag is way too large and before I could use even half of it the remainder was spoiled to the point where the birds wouldn’t eat it. Prior to that it was very good. A smaller size bag would be much better for my use.
