Customers say
Customers find the pet feeder to be a great hay feeder that works well for guinea pigs and rabbits, keeping hay contained and off the bottom of cages. The product is sturdy, with one customer noting it will last for pets for a long time, though some report durability issues with the clips breaking quickly. Customers disagree on the size, with some finding it perfect for their rabbits while others say it’s too small for their needs. While some customers report their pets don’t chew on the feeder, others mention their rabbits chew on the plastic.

Long last but deep
Great feeder. Lasted for about 2 years before my guineas broke through the fence. Getting a new one but I found another feeder that looks promising just doesn’t have pellet feeder just a hay feeder since my guineas like to pull out their hay and play with it and make a mess lol. The one I’m trying to get too has a nice mech to get all leftovers for hay out before changing again. The size is great and capacity is great too last my guinea pigs 2 days and I have four guinea pigs. The feeder for pellets is a bit deep but its easy to use for its size and looks I thought it was going to be cheap but it did last 2 years before it broke and my guineas ripped the cage apart. Cheap metal fence but last a while.

Great concept of dry food and hay all in one feeder
I bought this item with the idea that it could save on food waste for our guinea pigs. The hay openings are wider than on most other hay hoppers which allow the animal to get at the hay easier. The guinea pigs can’t seem to get at the hay if the bars or openings are too close together. Any loose hay can fall down into the dry food dish which saves it from being wasted. What I don’t like is that this newer model has a wire door that closes the top opening of the hay hopper. Our guinea pigs like to stand up and pull hay out from the top and they can’t with this “door” so I’ve removed the wire type bars that hold the hay in so they have easier access to the hay. That defeats the purpose to some extent, but it still works. Hopefully the Quick Locks on the newer model don’t break like the one we bought before this one. So far they appear stronger than older models and are holding up nicely. I have it sitting on the floor of the cage with the Quick Locks attached to the cage wires to keep it in place as otherwise the piggies will move it around. To me this saves space in the cage having a dry food “dish” in the same unit as the hay hopper. I do recommend this product and will buy it again if this one ever needs to be replaced! It is made very well and should last a long time.

Good as a hay feeder, lousy as a food tray
This makes a good hay feeder, if only used for hay. The bottom tray is good for catching hay dust, but this is why it doesn’t work well for food; the food gets buried in the hay dust. Also, the small space in hay rack that is below the wire mesh also catches the hay dust and can’t be accessed by the guinea pigs. That’s not a bad thing, I just don’t empty it except for once a week or so, when I clean the whole thing out. Another issue is that the tension that holds the rack down is virtually non-existent and the wire grid is removable. Because of this my four piggies, being the annoying little buggers that they are, figured out how to lift the wire rack completely off to gain access to all the hay at once, spilling it all over their cage. Overall, these are first-world problems and the product works well enough. For reference, I also have the kind of hay rack where the wire grid is one-piece and uses a spring on top to hold the hay in. I prefer that one, but all of my guinea pigs seem to use this one more often for some reason. But they don’t write reviews (in English, but they do in Pig Latin) so you’re stuck with this human’s point of view. They did ask me to pass this on though: “etgay a igbay nougheay agecay orfay usay iggiespay!”

Great hay holder
Great value for money.Cute natural green/hat color. Easy to set up in the bun house. Nice thick material and fits nicely inside the house.Stainless steel is durable and not cheap.Buns loved this for their hay.

Had it for 4 Years and still great for ferrets!
This thing has lasted for 4 years with literally no wear and tear. It holds up great, has sturdy metal hooks and does its job where the animals cannot tip it and dump all of the expensive food out. Now we just got angora rabbits and I am about to buy more of these same ones because I spent a LOT of money on expensive bowls for our ferrets and this was the only one that does the job, our girl ferret still has this bowl in her cage! For any reviews you read about this looking ‘worn or used’ Please note, this is a super smart design made with wood and plastic so that its safer than most materials for when your pets, inevitably, chew on the bowl. All of the bowls will look different because they have pieces of wood in the plastic. Best feeder to buy and its cheaper than anything comparable you can find local. I went to two tractor/ outdoor farm stores today and could not find anything like it.

Great idea in theory
This feeder hasn’t worked well for us, unfortunately. It’s sturdy and a great idea in theory, however, my Holland Lop has difficulty eating out of it. The front food bin is very deep. Even when I hang it so it’s touching the floor my rabbit has to stand up and practically climb into the bin to reach her pellets; she doesn’t seem to mind except often she can’t reach some of the pellets and will sit for hours shaking the bin trying to get them. Because of this she’s actually managed to break one of the clips to hang it, it still works but it’s not very secure. The front bin is also so wide that to reach the hay rack my bunny has to climb over it. Within a week of having this feeder she just stopped trying and wouldn’t eat any of her hay if I put it in the rack. I ended up buying a separate container for her hay, but it’s so sad watching how frustrated she gets when she can’t get all the pellets that I’ll probably end up just buying her a bowl and discarding this altogether. This would probably be a great feeder for a giant breed, but it’s way too big for my rabbit. Also, the plastic that they used to make this feeder smells very strongly and unpleasantly. It hasn’t deterred my rabbit from eating, but it’s rather unsettling.

Highly recommend and the price is great
Love this and so does my Guinea pig. Best feeder I have ever had. And hay doesnât get all over the place. Super easy to open and wide and to hang.

Not happy with this product at all. They are just too small for my guinea pigs! I suspect they are designed for hamsters instead.

Consegna puntuale

I love the thick plastic. Itâs the perfect size. Looks like good, study, livestock quality that is super durable. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and thickness of them. Will be buying more.

I have been having an all out war with my Guinea Pigs! The amount of wasted Hay that occurs due to them pooing in their food was a crazy amount. I tried to remind them of the people starving in the world, that didn’t work. I tried to make my own separate tub, purely for the hay and stick it to the side of the cage… They just chewed through my eventually industrial gaffa tape… And just when I thought I was beaten I saw this online…Oh yes, they didn’t like that they had to work a little for their food… and sure, they tried their hardest on day one to bite this off the cage… but they failed… And now… I’m the victor! So 5 stars all the way!
