FANTASTIC PAD! We even put this pad on several …
I ordered this pad in a quest to find something other than my $275 custom half pad that would fit my saddle and all the horses I ride. I have used this on a variety of horses from a Gypsy, TBs, and many warmbloods of various size and shape. This pad fit all of them well and my saddle never moved an inch. We have a few very wide flat backed warmbloods that my saddle would shift from side to side on but not with this pad. I loaned my pad out to a few riders in the barn to try as well and everybody had the same thoughts, FANTASTIC PAD! We even put this pad on several ponies and all the kids loved it. I have since ordered a second pad and plan to order a third. People in my barn have also ordered this pad and rave about it. We ride Hunter/Jumpers and have used it on saddles ranging in size from 15″ to 18″. It does show a bit under the small saddles. The care of the pad is easy, wipe it off with a damp cloth, or hose it off, even dunk it in a water bucket. My first pad has around 50 rides on it and shows no wear. The only thing that surprised me was the weight of the pad. It does weigh close to 5 pounds. Not complaining about that as it is clearly stated in the product description, I just had not read that before ordering. I hope you enjoy this half pad as much as my barn has. We all have the standard pad with no risers.

Best cushioning and anti-slip pad I have ever owned! Worth the price!
If I ride without it, I can feel a noticeable difference. I use a Barefoot treeless saddle on a 21 yo KMSH with saddle fit and back issues. With the pad, my saddle has no slippage and my horse moves out freely. Without it, he seems uncomfortable and a little short strided, not to mention that my saddles rolls. I use it between a very thin cotton English type pad and under the fleece of my saddle. He used to become unmanageable from back pain the longer I rode. Happy horse, happy rides! WE LOVE IT!It feels gooey, but that is not a problem. It never leaves any residue and if you drop it in the dirt, just gently hose off. It always stays put, never working its way out as other pads have done. Will purchase again if it ever wears out. Looks like new after a year of use. Be kind to it and you can’t go wrong! I take great care in storage and gentle handling. I always store it in a cardboard box out of sunlight between uses.Best cushion pad I have ever owned in 30+ years in horses. Buy it!

    Nice pad
Does its job, non slip, quality obviously good. Must be stored as boxed on arrival, rolled on plastic wrap to keep it from sticking to itself. Will be coated in dirt if dropped, though can be rinsed off. Handle carefully as could tear under its own weight it allowed to dangle. A very nice pad if you’re willing to deal with those things.

    So far no complaints
I’ve only used this half pad twice now, but so far so good!I was a little skeptical when it arrived because the pad arrived in a box about the size of a roll of aluminum foil. Once opened it made sense though, since it was rolled up with a plastic bag in between, very efficient and practical. I unrolled it and it is just as shown, though was a bit tricky to get off the plastic for the first time. I keep it stored the same way it came to keep the dust off it and to safe space, very practical! The pad itself is like nothing I had used before, squishy but supportive at the same time and while it sticks to the plastic it doesn’t stick to your hands, can be easily adjusted on the saddle pad. The rear lift raises the back of my saddle just enough to make it sit level, just as we had hoped. My trainer, who had never seen a pad like this before, really likes it too. In addition to raising the back of my saddle to give me just the right balance point, it also provides extra cushioning along the spine which my mare appreciates. She seems more comfortable, helping her with herself carriage, a very important step in retraining her under saddle after a career as harness horse. While dust does collect on it, it can be easily rinsed off and the pad looks like new. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this pad (or the other versions of it: Front riser, middle riser, and seat saver) as per need.

Only lasted a day or two and started tearing!
I’m sad to give this gel pad a terrible review because it really did a great job protecting my horse’s back as advertised, BUT the silly thing ripped apart within just a day or two of use for no good reason. It is just too expensive to buy at over $100 if it only lasts a few rides! If this same thing could be made to perform just as well but hold together for months of riding then I’d recommend it to everyone, but as it is now I can only…in all honesty… call it a total waste of money!

Works wonders on all types of horses!
I love this pad! It has changed everything about my ride. The first time I rode in the pad, my stiff QH mare that is always ill when we ride (Even after getting her saddle professionally fitted and trying multiple different pads), was a completely different horse! It was like someone had just changed her completely! Her movement was much more flowing and she was moving out freely, and was happy for the first time ever! I’ve tried it on my TB’s, Warmbloods, and ponies, and it fits like a glove on all of them. It never slips and makes all of them so much more comfortable, for both rider and horse! Its build is really great too. It is very sticky when you first take it out but after a ride or two, it’s not so much. But, even though it isn’t, it never slips or slides or bunches up under the saddle (like with other brands that I’ve tried). Definitely a returning customer!
