Handy little cage item
I found this to be a great tool to fill with everything I want them to eat besides birdseed. They perch on it daily and peck away at whatever I put in there. The little bowl just pops out easily to clean. I wanted them to use the lower part of the cage too so I used it as a tool to lure them a little lower and a little lower until they became comfortable with the toys, perches and things on the lower level. It’s a process but it’s working.

i needed a smaller container to hold food for my parakeet. most bird feeders are too deep and i waste a lot of food throwing away the leftover food. this feeder is absolutely perfect. it can go anywhere in the cage, it is sturdy, cute and my bird can eat all she wants and the next day whatever is left, i just toss and start over. perfect in every way.

Not quite as sturdy as expected but nothing wrong with it. Better suited for smaller birds like parakeets and finches. My cockatiel could use just a bit larger treat bowl perch

I love these bird feeders for my 4 Male Zebra Finches! I have 2 small and 2 large, they provide ample sitting space towards the bottom of the cage if they all decide to eat from the same one or they can each have one of their own. They are perfect for finches and other small birds (budgies/cockatiels) but probably not for much larger birds unless you have a perch next to them.I only feed a days worth of seed in each (3/4 of a table spoon for each finch). I also found that they fit a 3 inch seedling pots. I bought an extra one to hold dandelion/lettuce sprouts I have in constant sprouting rotation:18 3â pots that I reseed seed every 3 days, grow out to about 5 inches tall (3 weeks). I add a pot every 3-4 days and in that time they will eat every last leaf. Pull it out, add a new one, reseed the old one, so on and so forth. They love it and it keeps the cage pretty tidy and they get fresh greens every day. If I donât have any pots ready, I buy a head of organic broccoli and cut it up in large enough section to fit in the 3â seedling pot and drop it in the hole.I also also wash these once a month, let them dry and put a thin layer of natural food safe chopping block oil to keep them from cracking. Since they are finches, they have no interest in the actual wood part. Iâve been doing this for about 8 months now with no ill effects. That said, I do have 4 males so there is no breeding going on in the cage.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Exactly what I was looking for. Stainless steel cups- so much better than plastic, and appropriately sized for a Budgie. I bought the small and it’s 100% perfect. Love it. All the other bowls I could find are too deep for a Budgie. My only wish is that I could purchase additional bowls separately, without having to purchase together with the perch. I like having additional bowls so one can be in use while I am washing the other.
