Exactly what I needed
This little cage is exactly what I needed. We have 2 gerbils in a large tank and I needed a small cage that I can keep them in while cleaning. I found it very simple to assemble. My husband normal f9es all assembly in our home and this was easy enough to do it myself. I was a little concerned about how sturdy and reliable it would be. Several reviews mention quality but once assembled I found it to be very durable. I didnt use the wheel or water bottle, they are only in the cage for about an hour. We do keep one hand under the cage and the other uses the handle when we move them around in the cage, just in case but I’m very happy with it. Perfect size and keeps them confined and safe for a short period of time. Not recommended for a full time home, it’s too small for anything to live in full time. I also wouldn’t leave a rodent in ot overnight. Too much plastic, it would be easy for an unsupervised mouse or hamster to chew through and escape from. But it makes a perfect carrier for a vet visit or safe space for cleaning a larger habitat.

TERRIBLE!
We bought this as a travel cage for our sonâs hamster and she escaped after 1 day!! The gate is so flimsy Iâm sure she didnât even have to try to get it, it probably just fell open.Itâs not worth the time (too long!!!) to put it together or the money that you pay. Just pay the extra $10 for one from Petsmart. Youâll be glad you did and you wonât have to scour a closet, or your house!!, for your missing friend.

Itâs ok
Very tiny and kinda hard to put together with no instructions but I managed. I did accidentally break off a tiny piece where the snap things weâre supposed to connect so I just taped it for now and I also zip tied the wire door shut just incase. Thereâs another door on top so Iâm not worried about that. I only bought this to connect it to my large bin cage for some extra exploring. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS FOR YOUR PETS ONLY CAGE!! THEY NEED SPACE TO LIVE.

Too small
Smaller than expected. This would be too small for anything larger than a finch for a hospital cage. We bought this for our sick budgie and it seemed too small for her.
