Bigger Than You Think: Didn’t come with hanging equipment
It was bigger than I thought, which is fine. My crested geckos and gargoyle geckos love them, though. It didn’t come with a suction cup/anything to “hang” or place it in the enclosures, though. I got creative and ended up being able to secure it with the vines/wedge it in place depending the enclosure, so it still works just fine.

Great quality, natural, safe
This was my second time purchasing the moss hides for our pet leopard gecko. Our last hide lasted 6 months before I deemed it un-revivable. Our gecko did not particularly care for it at first, which is normal for her with any hide. It is now her favorite place to sleep.Upon receiving the hide we soaked it In a bucket of water overnight. The next day we followed the advice of another reviewer and shaped the hide around our fist. We removed a little moss to make it wider, but only what fell out, we did not pull any out as it would cause the strings to come loose. To keep it moist we simply use a spray bottle to dampen it twice a week. If it gets really dry, or if it was cold enough to turn on the heat lamp I soak it again. We keep the hide on the side of the cage that has a heat mat under it. The heat may doesnât seem to dry it out much. For anyone worried about the strings- donât pull the hide apart and they wonât be a problem. It is natural, Un-dyed and perfectly safe if you donât pull it apart. There is no wire for reptiles to cut themselves on which I really appreciate.

Immediate mold
I used this in my snail terrarium and it got moldy after 2 days. I was really disappointed because it looks super cute, but it was dangerous for my snails.

NOT FOR FROGS
I should have done better research on this before I ordered, but since FROG was in the title I was remiss. This ball of greens is held together by thread, like for sewing. Tree frogs have very delicate limbs and those threads would dismember them. Although I think they are very nice, but the threads are a deal killer for frogs.

Very good, and large
Purchased for my pet land snails to hide out and sleep in. They hold moisture fairly well but not as great as I thought they would. I read what I ordered, I knew they would be 6â but for some reason I didnât imagine theyâd be as huge as they are. Thatâs not a bad thing at all, just took me by surprise haha! Theyâre a bit bigger than a softball, great for a larger tank but do not recommend for 10gal or smaller with how much space it takes up. Snails do enjoy them though 😉

Our Geckos won’t step into these
Bought these for our crested geckos but they won’t even go into it. We soaked them and shaped them but they don’t seem to care for it. Additionally as we shaped them there were a number of sharp, almost needle like pieces that hurt our fingers as we were shaping them. My wife was concerned they might hurt the geckos too so we tried to remove what we could. They also have thin strands of fiber that is used to shape the hideout which could potentially cause our lizards harm so had to cut them. Our geckos seem to want to go anywhere but in these hideouts.

Picky spider
Got this for my tarantula, she immediately made herself at home. Wouldn’t come out for the longest time.

I love this it’s bigger then I thought and awesome BUT don’t believe the picture. A lizard is not going to fit. But I have a snail. I recommend it for snails
