The Sand Perch from Insight by JW is designed specifically to help keep mess inside the cage. This perch is wider at the base and then gradually gets more slender as it extends into the cage. This keeps the bird perched on the middle to end rather than right near the side of the cage. The natural sand is part of the mold, not sprayed on and so is durable and comfortable for your bird. Suitable for parakeets and cockatiels and other similar sized birds.

Have used these for several years for my little bird. They hold up and clean well. My old one lasted over 5 years but the gripper that hold on to the cage finally was stripped so had to replace. Fair price and quick shipping.

The birds deserve a perch
It took at least a few weeks before a bird finally sat on the perch. Apparently, throwing rocks at them does nothing to convince them to sit down. Then, slowly, more and more birds started sitting on it.Just kidding about throwing rocks.I bought two of these perches. The first one is still going strong. The 2nd one had stripped threads, so I couldn’t tighten the nut to the perch, and I had to throw it out. I’m sure I didn’t strip the threads, but they came pre-stripped.

No me gustó el material con el que están fabricadas, además de que no se mira como arena, se ve muy artificial y se desprende con tan sólo manipularla. No sé si sea un material adecuado para las aves. Decidà retirarlas de la jaula.Los colores son bonitos y el tamaño adecuado, pero por el material con el que están fabricadas, no la recomiendo.

Worth the price â¹154, dont know how effective it is for sanding the bird claws, too short a period to noticeAdded one star as it is very functional , can be moved to any part of the cage inside or outsideAdded the fifth star for the price i got , which was â¹154 now it is back to approx â¹450, which is not a justified price

Good length and size for budgies but the sand just falls off the plastic too easily- when I received it, one third of it had no sand on it. Basically a cheap plastic perch.
