Less Mess
I purchased these because I can add the birds food from outside the cage and less food on the outside of the cage.

Too messy
I thought this was the solution for our messy birds, but it was quite the opposite. They ended up making a bigger mess and going through seed faster. Maybe we got a defective item. Maybe our birds are nuts. Who knows. Great idea in theory.

I wan’t sure if this unit would work but I was very, very pleased. The silo fit perfectly through my cage’s tiny rails. This is a great concept for a feeder. I like walking over with a small measuring cup and pouring in the food; the birds don’t fuss as much.

Bad design spills a lot of seeds

Seed all falls out
Well, I thought this would be great for my canary……the seed falls out way to fast. Within 1 day all the seed is on the bottom of the cage. It is sturdy and well built….didn’t work out for us unfortunately.

It dispences seed for my greedy birdies, it’s also easy to fill as it sits outside the cage.

I love that you can refill the seed silo from the top without the mess of having to put the silo upside down and try to attach the seed compartment on small slide clips. Once it is assembled, which is easy to do, you just keep refilling it from the top of the silo. The silo itself is fairly small so it will require filling often, but the fact you can easily refill it makes up for the small size. I would recommend the taller option if someone was buying one.

item was very flimsy and not very sturdy would have not lasted long didnât even attempt to try it in my cage when it arrived the packet was torn and the feed tube. wasnât even sitting in correctly. this may have been from movement during transit. it was in a huge box and not packed with enogh padding will be looking around for the old style hard plastic feeder that can be just hooked on my. cage the picture in the display was very deceiving in how it worked I couldnât even see where it was supposed to with feed tube on the outside and the seed part where bird feeds from in the inside

They are very difficult to fit on the cage and each time I take them off to clean them, seed goes everywhere (AND I break a nail). They are, however, easy to fill.

Total rubbish! Impossible to remove for cleaning without seed emptying all over. They are cheap, nasty, poorly designed with sharp edges. I bought 2, so not a cheap mistake! To return them will result in my being charged for the returning of them.
