How did we get our start?
In 2004 by Joshua Willard made fruit fly cultures for his personal dart frogs. As a way to support his frog hobby and to better serve others in the amphibian hobby, Josh started selling the fruit fly cultures, as well as supplies for kits.

Best Sphagnum Moss
This is the softest sphagnum moss Iâve ever bought! Iâve never had any problems with debris, either, like I have with other brands, aside from the occasional stick, but I donât mind since itâs going into a reptile enclosure. You get a lot for a good price, and Joshâs Frogs is a great brand overall!

Love Joshâs Frogs
Love Joshâs frogs. I have a bio active crested gecko set up and currently working on a new set up for my ball python! My stuff always arrives when it says it will and always in good condition. I always have what I need because of the helpful grouped packages like the bio active starter kit. Both my gecko and my snake absolutely love their enclosures and Joshâs frogs products provide them with a healthy, safe, and natural environment. Couldnât recommend more.

Much better than expected!
I was expecting lower quality because of the great price but there’s no twigs, etc. Like other bulk packages I’ve bought in the past. Recommended!

Not your clean moss type
As the tittle says, this moss is full of twigs and dead roots, and when I say full I mean a lot of it, so if you are a purist and need super clean moss, this is not for you, however I wanted it to make moss poles and for the price you cannot beat this, I will be able to make a ton of moss poles for my plants with this single pack and for the purpose I don’t really care that it has so many extras.

Great bulk, questionable cleanliness
This is definitely one of the larger sizes of moss that can be ordered on amazon and is probably beyond excessive for personal use. Make VERY sure you soak it and rinse it several times. it does appear to contain additional organic matter that could lead to rot, like roots, stems and other things. Overall though its a great value for the amount even with the extra straining work

Great look and water retention
Bought it as recommended for my goldfish plant. The bag filled this 8″ shallow pot. My plant loves it and the sphagnum retains many times its weight in water without drowning the plant.

Great Moss
My only wish would be to buy it in larger bags. It isn’t exactly cheap but is a very clean and quality product.

Nice quality. Used for plants (Venus fly traps).Some debris and twigs to pick out, but otherwise worked well for my purpose.
