Great entertainment for the cat as well as the human watching
OMG ! My cat is obsessed with smacking things around the floor. I guess it gets her frustrations out? She has ping-pong balls that she loves to swat at all the time. I figured she would like these since they have mice in them. She has so much fun with these cute spring balls. The quality, value and durability of this toy is great. Don’t step on them! She loves the erratic movement of these wobbly springs. It’s comical to watch her play with them. She will catch them with her claws and actually toss them up in the air and them jump on them when they fall back to floor and bounce. I hope your cat likes them this much!

Bummed
Itâs probably my fault for not checking the measurements of this toy, but it was way bigger than I anticipated. Itâs almost the size of my hand with the little mouse inside. I ended up taking the mice out and stuffing them in a different toy because they didnât play with these at all. Quality seems fine for your typical cat toy. I could see the coloring chipping off but other than that seems fine.

Sturdy but may frighten your scaredy cats
Lemme preface with my three cats LOVE the plastic springs and love little mice. So I thought these are a win. I was wrong they ABSOLUTELY hate these though. They are metal and we have tile so they scare the cats more than anything. Weâve taken the mice out and they do play with those. The metal springy egg cages were not a hit. They are heavy and awkward. Well built though so if you have carpet or not such scaredy cats they might work.

Not safe to chew
Toys for animals should be safe for them to lick and chew. The paint of these spring toys chips off. The photos are of the one toy I unpackaged. If the paint chips off in manufacturing and transit, how much more does it under cats’ teeth?

I was looking for something big enough to not slide under the couch, but it actually was too big and heavy to keep my kittens attention. Really good idea, but Thundercat says no Thank you. Hes 7 pounds, he’s not tiny.

My kittens love these and I love that they don’t end up under my oven
The springs come twist-tied flat. The shape is more of an oval than a sphere, but they are malleable. The mouse toy inside makes tiny little jingling noises. They’re large enough I don’t have to constantly fish them out from underneath furniture.As other people have mentioned, the outside is metal. I guess its louder than plastic springs but it doesn’t bother me or my kittens. I can see how these could scare a timid or older cat, so if your cat is either of those maybe don’t get these. But my kittens are fairly fearless and they love these springs.
