Great to keep around
We occasionally have a rodent or small mammal that needs bottle feeding that comes into our lives, so I try to keep bottles like this around. These are made of a soft and pliable plastic that would make it easier to assist an animal that isn’t suckling well. While I find that having a variety of nipples is really helpful, the ones that come with this seem to be designed to be multi-purpose and can work for a range of animals in a pinch. I have mostly bottle-fed rodents, and I have used smaller nipples in the past I like better than these, but the versatility of these is great if you don’t have a selection on-hand. This is a solid basic choice. I’m glad to be able to keep them around for the next time we have a little one in need.

Great little nursing bottles to have on hand for when you need them
Although I have not yet had the opportunity to use these bottles, I live in an area where I come across orphaned mammals from time to time. The last time it was two baby Deer Mice. I did not have the proper tools to nurse them, and I could not find anything specifically for tiny rodents. So, it was a challenge to come up with ways to nurse them and I was not able to monitor how much formula they were drinking. When I saw these bottles I didn’t hesitate to get them. The nipples are about an inch long, soft and flexible. The tip tapers enough that something as small as a mouse would be able to nurse from them. (You will have to make a hole at the end of the nipple.) The bottle is soft plastic and is marked with 15 ml, 20 ml, 25 ml and 30 ml. The cap screws off and the nipple can be popped out of the cap for easy cleaning. Seems to be pretty durable.I used to be a wildlife rehabilitator and based on my experience with nursing baby mammals, the small size makes it comfortable to hold and keep steady while nursing the baby mammal. A great tool for nursing baby opossoms, squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks, for example. Also young kittens and puppies. Definitely a must have item for those times when you need it.
