Cat toy with different play modes for hours of fun!
I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this because I haven’t had much luck when it comes to electronic pet toys. But after charging this and getting it set up for my almost two year old cats, their interest was piqued immediately upon hearing it. One was sleeping and she got up and came over (cautiously) to see what was going on. It didn’t take long before she was peeking into the holes and putting her arm in to get whatever was in there! She would jump every once in awhile due to the stop and start of the toy, but she didn’t let that stop her! She soon was grabbing it and holding on while it spun around. (“I’ve got you now!!ð¼)Then our other cat came into the room, who knows where he was, but must have heard the commotion. He started the process of checking it out (very carefully) and then he started playing too. However these two didn’t just play for a min and leave… What they typically do with these electronic toys. No, he played and played!! It was close to half an hour off constant play! I couldn’t believe it! That’s like what, 6 hours in “cat time”??! Lol Seriously, he loves it so much that when I went to put it up (because we were leaving to go out to eat), he watched me every step of the way… When we got home and I walked past where I’d placed the toy, he sat up, eyeing the toy, as if he were begging me to please turn it on, he was ready to go!ðð It had been a couple hours but he clearly got his cat nap in and was ready to play again! So I’m definitely going to have to recommend this toy! It comes with another end to the ball, the part with the tassel on it. You just pull it off and then pop the other back on. Or if it picks up hair or anything, you can pop the tassel off and clean it very easily. (This happened while they were playing in my bathroom and it picked up a couple pieces of my long hair.) ð¤·ð¼ââï¸ But thankfully it was easy to take care of. It comes with a charging cord and the ball (electronic part – and the part that makes a very odd sound for the cats. We aren’t sure what it’s supposed to be, maybe rodent squeaks? But it sounds like puppies whining to me. A little weird, but they played with it.ð¤·ð¼ââï¸) and the tent. Which I’ll mention, the opening to put the ball in is at the end of the tent, where the blue loop is. I couldn’t find it at first because it’s velcroed in place very well! But it’s there.ððð¼ If you have kitties that would enjoy a good playtime, definitely try this out. Ours will play with this for as long as we let them! I hope yours enjoy it was well.Update: this morning the first thing they did was paw at the tent. (Toy isn’t inside right now.) They ate their breakfast and then pawed at it again. So I got the toy and put it inside (on mode 3, the quite, no squeak mode. It’s still early! Lol) So now they’re both playing with it and having a great time once again! This is definitely a hit with our two kitties!!

This interactive toy pairs a powered smart ball that has interchangeable attachments that help the ball to move around and it is designed to be placed inside its accompanying blue tent. The ball can be inserted into the tent through the corner that has the loop, making it easy to set up and secure inside. The box says that this is a “smart toy”, but it’s not what one would think of when you hear “smart”, mostly because there’s no independent thinking going on. Instead there are three modes which vary the way the toy works.The ball jiggles and moves around and that action changes depending on the selected mode, and even shuts off until your cat interacts with it again. Reading the instructions is definitely important with this toy. They explain how to activate it and what the three different modes do, which are indicated by three separate colors. Each mode not only moves differently but also runs for a different amount of time before it pauses and waits for your cat to interact again. The battery life isnât bad, but since itâs only 300mAh, how often youâll need to recharge it really depends on how enthusiastically your cats play with it. After about two days of occasional play, I needed to charge the ball again. It did come with a decent charge out of the box which allowed me to get my cats playing right away and I always appreciate that.The toy comes with a set of attachments for the ball as well as a charging cable (though no plug is included). The ballâs attachments pop on easily, making it simple to swap them out. The downside is they can also come off just as easily, and my cats have managed to dislodge them during energetic play. A twist-to-lock design might have made more sense, but thatâs really a minor quibble.The tent itself is dotted with holes so your cat can peek in, reach through, and bat at the ball. It actually looks quite nice, though at first it didnât feel like it would hold up to much abuse (e.g. from a dog trying to tear into it). However, I was pleasantly surprised by its durability. When my cat tried to grab it with her mouth and tug it apart to get to the ball, it didnât tear or even show noticeable damage which is definitely a bonus. If I could change anything, Iâd wish for the tent to be a larger and maybe to include a built in option to weigh it down. Then again, there might be some benefit to letting the cats drag or bat it around as well.My cats are high-energy and prefer toys that make them think (For example, one of them has a toy with buttons that turns on the toy and sheâs learned to press the right button in order to do just that. Sometimes she turns it on just for the fun of it). Theyâve really enjoyed playing with this toy with a combination of the ball which gets their prey drive going and the tent which allows this to (what they think is a) sneak attach. So, I definitely feel this toy is reasonably priced and I would not hesitate to recommend this to fellow cat owners.

Cute cat toy
This is a super cute toy. We have a few toys along these lines, but what I especially like about this one is that the ball lights up, and can be seen through the fabric. This , along with the chirping noise, attracts the cats’ interest a little better than just movement. It’s a bit on the smaller side; when my cat decided to sit on it, he covered a good portion of it. ð¸But this does make it easy to move around or put away if desired. In fact, it came folded up small in a little box, so it is definitely portable.The cats did lose interest after a bit, but I find the key with these toys is to rotate them every so often. When the battery needs to be charged, swap it out for another toy while charging. This makes sure they always have a “new” toy.
