    Perfect for my lagering fridge!
I have been using this INKBIRDPLUS thermostat to control the temp in my garage homebrew lagering/cold crashing fridge, and it’s been rock solid. It’s super easy to set up—just plugged it in, dialed in my temp range, and it’s been keeping my fridge right on target ever since. The probe is long enough to reach in the fridge -exactly where I need it, and the unit switches the fridge on and off smoothly to maintain perfect temps. I also love that it keeps the settings even if the power blips. If you’re fermenting with temp control, this little controller is a must. Great value for the money!!!

    Accurate temperature control.
I received this Inkbirdplus controller a few days ago and started using it right away. I was disappointed in the included instructions. They were not very clear and I still don’t know what some of the menu items mean. I was able to set it up to control a mini fridge that I use as a fermentation chamber for home brew. After using it for a few days I found the controller is doing a very good job of controlling the temperature and also the temperature seems to be accurate as compared with two other digital thermometers.I do like the appearance of this controller as compared to others. I like the design of the plug in being remote on a flexible wire instead of the heavier cords of some models.I would have given this product a five star rating if the instructions were written better. Maybe they will work on that.

Works, but the manual is hilariously useless. Good luck unlocking all features.
This turns on. It has buttons. That’s where the fun begins and ends—because the instruction manual is written in a sort of “Chinglish” that serves neither English nor Chinese speakers. It really wouldn’t cost these manufacturers much to hire a native English speaker for translation, and it would make a world of difference. As-is, I could only figure out the basics.I bought this with the idea of gifting it to my beer-brewing son, but he doesn’t use a plug-in heater or cooler in his fermentation closet. Then I thought maybe my husband could use it when working on vehicles—monitoring oil or coolant temps—but he didn’t trust the probe’s coating to hold up near the higher end of its stated range. (And who can blame him? The instructions didn’t inspire confidence.)To test accuracy, I dropped the probe into a pot of boiling water. At my elevation, water boils around 212°F, and the device read it at 211°F. Not bad! But for a product aimed at people who need precise temperature control, I’m not sure if being one degree off is acceptable. It also reacts a bit sluggishly—took about 25 seconds to realize it was sitting in boiling water. That felt slow to me, especially compared to my cheap meat thermometer that gives a steak reading in 5–10 seconds. That said, the display is bright and easy to read, and it does seem to retain settings (a nice touch). I plan to try it next in the fridge to see how it handles that environment.Pros:Accurate within 1°F in my boiling water testLong cord and decent plug reachBright, easy-to-read screenRetains settings after power lossCons:Instructions are nearly unusableSlow temperature responseTrust in high-temp performance is… shakyVerdict: I won’t return it—I’ll find some use—but I wouldn’t gift it to a beginner. You need to be a bit of a DIY MacGyver to figure this one out.

    Nice simple temperature controller.
This does what I need it to do, which is basically turning a freezer into a refrigerator. For my use, I only need to set temperature and cycle time (to keep from damaging the compressor by turning it on and off to frequently). I don’t need the timer functions, so I won’t comment on them, but I have it set to maintain temperature between 37.5 and 38.5 degrees F and it’s working perfectly so far. Although the instructions are rather confusing (I hear they’re working on that), operation was actually quite simple once I figured out how to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit.Unlike the ITC-308 or ITC-312, this will only control one device. So it can heat or cool but not both. If you need a dual controller buy one of those instead. But I think you’ll be pretty happy with this if it’s the right tool for your job. I’d also suggest putting some thought into where you plan to use it before you order – make sure that all the cords (especially the one on whatever you plan to plug into it) are long enough.

    Convert freezer to deer cooler
This fit the bill to convert my chest freezer into a cooler for deer. I haven’t tried using this to age meat, but got it to cover delays getting a deer to the processor. Since the thermostat wouldn’t let me set to keep things cool (but above freezing) I can use this to control the temperature and cycle the freezer on/off via power. Very handy!

    Great thermostat, highly recommended
What I liked:* Versatile modes for diverse applications: heating/cooling mode based on start/stop temperature comparison, cycle timer, one-shot on, off, and on/off timer.* Bright, backlit, easy-to-read display.* Can be operated in both Celsius and Fahrenheit.* Control relay is appropriately rated (15A@125VAC).* Controller is separate from the plug and is wall mountable – makes it easier to use. What I didn’t like:* Display may be hard to read at horizontal angles other than 90°.* Sensor is not detachable, nor easily replaceable.Overall, a great thermostat, well worth the money. Highly recommended!

    Thermal temperature control.
I got this unit to prevent my aquarium fish from getting fried if the heater sticks on.You just plug the unit into the power socket, and then plug whatever you want to control into the unit. The control box displays the actual temperature and set temperature for min and max. Then you just put the temperature sensor into the aquarium or soil or whatever you are wanting g ro monitor the temperature.I found the unit fairly easy to set up for what I need it for, although I’m sure you can do more with it than I need it for.The display is easy to see and read, and having a safety net against my fish getting boiled is a big plus.So far I recommend this unit.
