Loving it
This thing is awesome. I’m using it to revive an old wine fridge I had who’s temperature control broke. Now it works better than it did originally. This little thermostat is surprisingly high tech where it not only turns on and off the attached appliance when it meets the correct temperature but it also has tons of settings. For example, I’m able to change how big of a temperature differential I want between it turning off (cold) and turning back (warmer) on. Also, it has temperature alarms that you can set to trigger in case it gets to hot/cold so whatever your trying to do doesn’t get damaged even if the fridge/heater fails. It even has a compressor delay, for fridges, so that it will give a minimum time for the compressor to rest before it turns on again. Overall, I’m very impressed and think this is worth every penny I spent on it, even though I don’t even use the heat option.Pros:- Tons of features- Well made- Easy to use and does it’s job wellCons:- temp probe isn’t replaceable as far as I can tell- not best instructions (see my tip below)Tip: When you want to adjust the settings (ex. set temp) you need to hold down the “Set” button for 3 seconds, then set the settings, and finally hold down the “Set” button for another 3 seconds to save. If you don’t hold it down for 3 seconds the second time all your changes will get lost.

My chest freezer is now my beer fridge!
I honestly think this thing works great. I’ve had it over a year now and it’s doing a great job and converting my chest freezer into a perfect beer and wine fridge. Its a little bit of a learning curve to find the correct setting so the freezer doesn’t get too cold and freeze your booze, but I found setting this device to 37 degrees with a 2 degree variance is a good balance. Then it never dips below freezing and it’s plenty cold, being anywhere between 39 and 35 degrees at all times.Side note for anyone trying to do this: Completely line the inside of your chest freezer with heavy cardboard first, that way it prevents the frost from extending onto your bottles and cans and freezing your booze. Which can still happen with this device since the freezer still thinks its “freezing things”, the coils will still create frost on the interior walls during the “on” periods.

Frigidaire freezer.
I bought two refrigerator freezer convertibles from Home Depot, but they both turned out to be just freezers. I was very disappointed and frustrated, until I found a device that could adjust the temperature and make one of them act like a fridge. The device is called the Inkbird ITC-308, and it is a digital temperature controller with dual relay output for heating and cooling1. It is very easy to install and use, and it has a dual display window that shows the measured temperature and the set temperature at the same time1. It also has a buzzer alarm that warns me of high and low temperatures and sensor issues1. I am very happy with this device, as it saved me from having to return or exchange the freezers. It works perfectly and keeps my food fresh and cold. I would highly recommend this device to anyone who has a similar problem with their freezer or fridge. It is a lifesaver!.

Tips and how to set controller.
I gave it only 4 stars because I think the order of the setting options is a bit off and it has weird letters for the control options when setting it, and those are not explained in the booklet that came with it. I feel the most important thing about this instrument is the temperature, and most people on the US Amazon site use Fahrenheit, and the default is Celsius. The selection for C/F is the last setting option, and in my opinion it should be the first. SO>>> I overcame this by finding the CF (Celsius Fahrenheit) setting first (hold “set” for 3 seconds until the figures flash, then click “set” again 7 times to see “CF”) and locking that in (hold “set” for 3 seconds) before setting the rest of my controls. I feel CF should be the first because other settings are relevant to this to avoid having to do conversions. The other thing I thought was odd was the letters used for the “Temperature Set” indicator (which is the first thing you see in when setting your controls. It looks like an upside-down F and an S. I know a T is not an option on a small window digital reader, but I don’t understand the upside-down F for their choice, and it is used twice on this controller in the settings. The manual didn’t show the weird letters, but at least they are listed in the order you will see them on the display, and it does shot to tap the “set” button after each setting. I highly recommend searching for a video that do show how to set the controls, and don’t bother with the one that was shown on this order page as it is just a general explanation of what a temperature controller does.. doesn’t say how to use this exact one. I like that it really is fairly simple, and is doing a great job so far.

Turned our old chest freezer into a dual purpose appliance.
We’ve had this unit for almost two years and it works GREAT! We have an old chest freezer that we use to freeze our berry harvest in the summer and then use this controller to turn it into a refrigerator to chill meat during hunting season. It makes an old freezer dual purpose. Very happy with it!

Great little unit
This unit is easy to program and easy to read. I use mine to keep my water pump and pressure tank from freezing. I can mount the control unit outside the pump housing and the LED read out will show the internal temperature, and if the power is cycling on. I’ve had it exposed to the elements all winter and spring and the weather doesn’t seem to have affected it in any way, so I’d say it’s pretty resilient.

This unit works brilliantly. I use it to brew beer. In the winter its mainly used to turn on a brew belt on my fermenter when the temperature drops below a setting. In the spring and fall when temperatures fluctuate it can alternately turn on the brew belt or a cooling element such as a fan or even refigerator used as a fermenting chamber. In the Summer it can just turn on the fridge. It’s really easy to use and there is no wiring required – just plug in your heating and cooling devices. I’ve testing its accuracy again other thermeters and it has always been spot on.

Use it on a heater inside my Standby generator. Have it set at 0°C with a 1° variant.The unit is in the generator housing itself, and therefore subject to the outside ambient temperatures as well. Temps have been down to -27C. Have only had it running for 2 weeks, but the unit has worked flawlessly so far. Very accurate, as I also have a wireless thermometer inside the generator, so that I can ‘see’ exactly what is happening.Very pleased as long as it keeps working…

Using for homebrew. Attached to a chest freezer to regulate temps. Easy setup. No re-wiring. Works very well. Keeps temps within the yeast spec. Watched a few videos on how to set the control and got it dialed in. Set it and forget it. For the price, it is a great value.
