How did we get our start?
Coinciding with the announcement of the Oxford Dictionary’s Word of the Year, the Danish word ‘hygge’ caused a Nordic trend. hygge is generally translated as “comfortable cosy”. hygger is derived from hygge. If you define hygger, it is to stay away from all stress and annoying things, spend time with family and friends, do what you like or simply be alone, as long as it makes you feel relaxed and comfortable.

Great little pump.
Great for a small tank that you really want to regulate flow. It Has a valve that can be adjusted, I use it as a power head for a 5gallon saltwater tank. Works great.

Small but effective
I actually submitted a return request but never ended up returning it. My complaint was that it was most certainly not “ultra quiet” – it was indeed quite buzzy and loud. If this happens to you, hesitate. Don’t miss your return date but use the thing as much as you can. Mine got pretty much “silent” after a wait. Just sick it in a tank and test it out and if it’s loud let it run 24/7 for a while and see if it gets quiet enough.I now have two of these as they move plenty of water for my smaller setups and run very quiet. I use them in my office where I do regular meetings and generally need peace while I work, so the sound is very important to me.[ORIGINAL]I hope I just got a bad egg because many of the reviews rave about how quiet it is. It’s one of the smallest pumps in my fish room and yet, one of the loudest. It’s not screaming loud or anything, but it produces a steady hum and vibration, and it is certainly louder than my much-more-powerful pumps.I’m going to see if I can get it replaced and I’ll update my review if the replacement is as quiet as expected.

Almost perfect but not quite
This little pump works great and is a great addition to my 5-gallon tank. I had to set it on the lowest setting because it’s pretty powerful for a small aquarium. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that one of the suction cups came loose and won’t stay attached. Other than that I would recommend it.

The quietest!! Have tried 4 others
I purchased a lovely little tabletop water fountain (organic water lily, green glaze, made of pottery) a few months ago. The pump became too loud after a short while owning it, but I loved the fountain SO much that I tried purchasing multiple other replacement pumps in an effort to find a quiet one. After trying 3 others (besides the one it came with) I finally found this one. IT’S SO QUIET!!! I keep my fountain on all the time now. I absolutely love running water and love the sound and feel of it in my bedroom. This is the best little pump for a small fountain.

Fuss-free and reliable!
I am using this pump for a little bird fountain on my back patio. I tried two other battery operated pumps and one other electric one before buying this great little no frills, inexpensive workhorse. Plugged it in and away it went and has been going ever since. Iâll never go back to battery again.

THIS THING IS TRASH â Donât buy!
This pump is the third one Iâve bought on Amazon, to run my 3-quart capacity tabletop fountain. I keep trying different ones, being willing to spend over ten dollars for one. Well, this one ran quiet (as one *should*!!) for about a week. Then it got noisy, forcing me to unplug and disassemble my fountain, in an attempt to troubleshoot the problem. The noise went down briefly, but returned with a vengeance, then the pump died altogether.I keep my fountain super clean and only run filtered or distilled water in it. There was absolutely NO reason for it to quit within a month of purchase, outside of being trash from the beginning. Donât waster your money!!

Not powerful enough
It was not powerful enough to pump the water to make my fountain work. I was looking for a quieter water flow but downsizing the pump power didn’t do the trick.

Works for my hydroponic garden
Bought to replace my small hydroponic gardenâs water pump. Tested it in a bucket of water and it worked a bit too vigorously, but thereâs a small dial on the side that does a fairly good job of regulating the flow. I was able to turn it all the way down.Just after getting the new pump, I successfully fixed and reinstalled the old one, which turned out to be full of gunk from me being lazy and not cleaning it regularly. Iâm keeping the new pump for when the old one dies for good. The new one seems sturdy and will be a good replacement.

It was quiet and efficient for a couple weeks until the water flow was greatly reduced. Current is almost nonexistant. I tried checking to see if there was something disrupting the flow but there was nothing. Would not recommend.
