I have a fish tank that needed a light as the old fluorescent bulb has given out. I was kind of done with replacing fluorescent bulbs every 3 to 4 months. I decided to look for alternatives. That’s when I ran across this LED aquarium light.This LED aquarium light has a full spectrum capability of lighting and it functions very well. The quality of the overall construction is very solid. You could tell just by holding it.Based off of my use, the color options it has along with its ability to do a sunrise and sunset at a specific time. Not only regulates the aquatic creatures circadian rhythm but also helps my plants grow fast. I have an Amazon sword plant that was struggling to grow previously. 2 weeks. With this light on it, it tripled its size. That just goes to show how much plants need a full spectrum light.My overall experience with this LED full spectrum light is outstanding. Fits perfectly on my tank, It has adjustable legs that retract into the LED light and it has all the settings I could ever want plus some. They definitely hit it out of the park when they built this. You could tell someone behind this design and engineering is an aquarist.I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a reliable light with full spectrum and wants to get rid of their old fluorescent bulb setup.I can confidently recommend this to my friends, family, co-workers, and my fellow aquarium enthusiasts. Also, since these are LEDs, they have a very long lifespan. The housing does not get very hot either. It does get warm but that’s expected.

Good hygger aquarium light but could use a few more functions
I needed a light that offers adjustments for the “natural light” function. My current light is also from hygger but it is a basic model that does not allow duration or intensity adjustments when set to natural light. It just ramps up, runs for 11 hours, and ramps down. The duration was too long, causing algae blooms while stressing my Otocinclus. This hygger light can set 24-hour daylight mode from 2 to 12 hours. It can also adjust intensity down to 10%. It also has a moonlight mode but only allows between 4 to 12 hours. It meets my needs to have a full spectrum 30-Watt light that can be set to 8 hours with 30 minutes ramp up and 30 minutes ramp down. However, the moonlight mode is too long at a minimum of 4 hours. It would have been nice to offer shorter time frames down to 1 hour.The construction of the light is typical hygger quality, which is generally good. It has a metal cover which I believe is aluminum. The extendable legs allow it to fit tanks from 30 to 36 inches across. The instructions were sufficient to explain the functions of the light. While it is 30 Watts, the light is narrower compared to the previous model I used, which is a bonus because it doesn’t take up as much real estate above the tank. The full-spectrum daylight and the morning and even lights are all very eye-pleasing and I expect it to help the plants while cutting down algae growth.

Very Powerful and Fully Featured!
This light is very bright and functional for freshwater aquariums. I have it installed on a two gallon planted tank. I used a par meter to test the intensity. This tests the usable spectrum of the output of the light for photosynthesis. It was 300 at 8â below the light. This is more than enough intensity to grow freshwater plants, and I actually dimmed it down.The timer function works very well. Make sure to follow the directions when using it, as itâs not obvious by looking at the controller. For example, you have to hold the timer button after selecting the hours, to adjust the intensity. But you also have to start the timer at the time of day you want it to turn on. There is no clock on it, just a timer. Another great feature is that the controller keeps the program after power loss. This ensures stability in the aquarium. This light would make a perfect addition to any freshwater tank! I highly recommend this light!
