Excellent aquarium heater, keeps my tanks temperature on target. Blends in with the tanks surroundings. Doesn’t stick out like a pimple on prom night, with the orange or red or blue heater parts, my aquarium looks great.

Safety. I lost fish
Incident Summary:The product appears to have malfunctioned and may have caused a fire hazard. It melted even though the room temperature was only 72 degrees, and as a result, my fish died. The item showed clear signs of overheating, which raises concerns about its safety and quality.

My fish seem to like it and it appears to be working great, but sometimes I come home and it says the water is 89°+when I have it set to 85 or so. Of course this freaks me out and I feel the water, but it never feels super hot or anything, so I think the thermometer is not awesome. Visually appealing though and easy to use. some heaters are super ugly. Strong suction.Got it for an ich treatment and my guppy stopped flashing so im assuming it works??

Fish tank cleaner
Fish tank heater works really good, the thermometer is the issue. The thermometer digit becomes very hard to read even when you change the battery. I should have just purchased a regular fish tank thermometer

Initially, I was tempted to go for the tried and true Eheim aquarium heaters on my new tank like I’ve had for over 20 years. But after getting a good lighting system I got from Hyggor to replace my custom high output LED lights that were starting to fail after 10 years of use. I thought I’d give Hyggor heaters a try as well. The thermometer I got with this heating system is 99% accurate of the heat I set on the heater. It took about 45 minutes or so to bring the temperature up from 65 degrees to the 76 degrees I set on the heater. Time will tell how well it does and see if it dies out after 2 years of use or if it lives a long lifetime like my Eheim heaters did.
