Loose legs but nice light
The Hygger support team is working with me to fix this issue. They have been prompt to respond and are sending me new legs for this light. They believe they arrived bent. Hopefully this will resolve my issue and I will add a star back on my review after they arrive. Light arrived in a timely manner. I am pleased with the brightness and the different colors. It is easy to program. My only issue is the legs it rest on move easily and cause it to slide off the edge it balances on. Not to the point that it might fall in the aquarium but, enough that it is aggravating. This has been resolved by customer support at Hygger. They were very easy to work with and sent new legs that were not bent. Works great now. I have zero complaints.

This light is awesome. I love how customizable it is. But the ability to customize it can be confusing. Spend a few minutes to read the instructions. They are fairly good. The lumen output is awesome. And I really dig the moonlight mode.

Good light but not great controller
The quality of the light is excellent. The controller is difficult to program, and mine does not keep accurate time. I regularly have to reprogram the time on it.

Potential ð¥FIRE hazard! And reliable headache generator
â I’m another example of the “trust past reviews” and “you get what you pay for” mantras. â I took the chance (you shouldn’t). I bought this light to try a budget friendly option. As soon as I plugged it in I heard a constant, HIGH-PITCHED sound coming from the power brick.. this could be no big deal, or it could be a very big deal. I didn’t want to risk BURNING my house down! Not to mention it gave me a headache and I couldn’t stand to be near my aquarium. So I ordered a replacement which ALSO emitted a high-pitched whine from the power brick! Returned!!When I buy a new product I expect it to be usable without concerns. I understand if ONE is faulty. But this product seems to be made with cheap parts where it matters. Electronics that are intended to be plugged in for long periods of time are one thing that I can’t forgive cheap/faulty parts on.Bonus: The arm used to attach it to the tank is not my favorite. The light is too heavy and pulls it down, so the part of the arm behind the tank sticks out. Not a big deal? My old light just doesn’t have a long piece extending down like that, so maybe that’s normal on lights like this. My tank is also rimmed which could matter.Save yourself the trouble and headache (literally), and continue on your search. The Truth –
Wow!
Wow. In a really good way! Bang for the buck, this light is it. It makes all the life in the tank pop with vibrant color and the plants are loving it as much as I am.The light is well built, with good weight, and a sleek, modern appearance. It’s completely customizable spectrums, intensity, timers, and functions are easily controlled by the wired, in-line controller. The light fits perfectly above my tank.The suggestions for the review below suggest I say something about flickering, but I don’t see any flickering at all.I love the light, so, I bought 2 more for some of my other tanks.Im sharing a video. My plants don’t look the best right now and that has nothing to do with this light. They look like they do because the light before this was set on an extremely reduced light schedule to combat some BBA that started to grow.

nice light but has it’s downsides
The control mechanism did not come with batteries like others have said contrary to what the packaging or post says. Also, it does not keep accurate time. After a few weeks it was already several minutes ahead of other clocks.Light gets pretty hot but it is great and bright light which is nice and I do like, and adjusting the output % helps a little. The controls are very complicated but if you take an hour or so to set it up you only have to worry about fixing the time periodically, but don’t forget to buy a battery or it will take you another hour if there is a power outage or it gets unplugged from power.

Works great, good price.
I have used this on my 55-gallon aquarium for about 2 months. It’s a bit tricky to program the first time, but the programming is very flexible. I have it running a day-time setting that is bright light, and a moonlight setting that is subdued blue-oriented light. The only problem, and for me it is minor, is thatit’s internal clock loses time every day. It is easy to reset the clock when it is too far from real time. I recommend this and all Hygger products.

Would not buy again
The light itself is great but the controller is garbage. Its internal clock is off by an hour every 2 weeks and needs to be reset. Despite a battery pack, it is unable to save programmed settings when unplugged. It must be completely reprogrammed every time it loses power.
