Perfect boredom buster for horses!
Our horses love these things and it keeps them busy!!! Our horses have slow feeder bags but still eat through them quickly so I was looking for something to keep them entertained between feedings. These treat balls absolutely fit the bill! They were worth the money as they still look brand new even after dozens of uses- very durable! Iâm hanging them in their stalls so the size is perfect to not be in the way. I can see how it would also be a good dog toy, but I havenât used it as one.

I needed something to keep my extremely smart and easily bored Arabian entertained while on stall rest. He does get access to his paddock but strictly no grass right now. So needless to say, he was getting bored. He has a jolly ball but heâs food motivated so I wanted to try something that would emulate foraging.Enter this toy! I can stuff about a quarter of a flake of Timothy in there, and he usually goes for it before his hay net because he enjoys bopping it around. He does empty it rather quickly but itâs easy enough to stuff hay in there I do a quick refill when I check on him between filling his actual hay net.Itâs proven durable, and does exactly as I expected so Iâm happy with it.

I was looking for an inexpensive boredom buster for a mischievous OTTB. This toy has helped curb some bad habits, giving me time to shop for toys that will keep him busy longer. This toy ball is easy to stuff with hay, treats, fruit and veggies but just doesn’t last long due to its smaller size. But, as you can see from the video our boy loves it!

FIDGET TOY MUST HAVE FOR HORSE STALLED
This hay ball is exactly what my stud needed in his stall! He absolutely loves it. The quality was great, the size was good, not too large, not too small. He does not chew on the ball that I can tell but I do have it hanging from the ceiling rafters of my barn to make him stretch more and so it can swing freely to give him a fidget toy. The color was right on spot. I would buy one of every color but he would be way too excited for this.

Would not buy – hard to fill – easy to choke
Bought this for my horse to provide a more challenging way to give an extra snack from time to time. The method in which you have to stuff the ball allows the horse to rip out large chunks at once – which nearly lead my horse to an episode of Choke (which he has never had an issue with before). Do not recommend whatsoever.

Why did you choose this product over others?:It was a very helpful tool to help relieve boredom in a pony that spent last summer on box rests. It also meant her hay was spread out a bit more, meaning she has to work a bit harder to get it.
